Ugh...got there about 2:30 today and not allowed through employee gate. The worker said he had just verified with his superior that we were not allowed there any more because...'It is a separately ticketed event,' as if a separately ticket event would never be able to park there ...like I did last night for instance. Anyway, it wasn't too crowded getting in through other gate but why can't these people get their act together on a cohesive policy? And by cohesive, I mean letting me through the employee gate.

Last year's lead woman back in 9:30 Miracles tonight. I suppose she's the swing dancer since I saw her in Deck the Halls last night?

We had a great time with visitors and they loved the lights/shows/food.
 
Actually, they probably changed the England parking lot thing just recently due to their hands being full right now. After all, hundreds of people have been laid off from the company.

If that is not the case, it could be another new team member or another night someone decided not to offer the benefit. As Carl said, technically their not supposed to allow it, but he didn't see it as an issue.

Recently must mean today because we were there last night also and came through that gate. And no matter how many people have been layed off (and I really deeply regret that happening) they still have someone manning that gate because employees enter that way. We told the worker we had been in that gate numerous times and he said he had just verified with his supervisor that we were no longer allowed.

Someone should start a thread about this in light of the recent security issues. Now they are acting just like the employees at SeaWorld Orlando a year ago.
 
Jesy, I had the same thing happen yesterday. To top it off we had to take two cars and when we went around they sent my wife's car to the left (towards the england lot) and sent me to the italy lot. The guy at the top of the hill wouldn't listen to me and would not let me follow my wife's car so we had to park separate. I've never been so mad at a BG employee. First time I had to do a real complaint. Then we had a few other issues during the days with some of their employees. I'm really thinking I'm not going to be renewing my platinum pass anymore. And I've been a platinum pass member for a long time now too. ugh.

FWIW, I would bet there are both a lot of fear and incredibly low morale among park employees right now. I'm willing to give the rank and file some slack, given what is happening at their company.

haha, everyone; it's not a new team member; I've seen this guy there all summer and I think the previous year as well. I'm just going to continue to be silently irritated and hope this will work itself out. Frankly, I'm afraid open dissent might result in their closing the gate all year round and this is my favorite passholder benefit.
