I could be completely wrong, but my understanding is that last year, the park actually had quite a bit more than they were letting on to. Scott Gasparich gave a big hint recently at where the event is heading. The point of this is to basically equal, or exceed the amount of lights at all 4 Disney World parks combined. This is the reason for their newest slogan "Where Christmas shines brightest." Thankfully, in my opinion, the lights aren't the most important factor in Christmas Town. I think all of the SeaWorld/Busch Gardens parks capture the essence of Christmas and the Winter season better than any other park chain.

They can say whatever they want about how many lights they have. It's not like anybody is actually going to count them. "Dramatization"...(Park Exec #1) "How many lights did we say we had last year?" (Exec #2) "I cant remember...6 million maybe?" (Exec #1) "OK, so 8 million will sound better for this year. Thanks. Now get back to work."

DR GASPARICH: ... EIGHT MILLION LIGHTS!

NUMBER TWO: Don't you think we should advertise more than eight million lights? Eight million lights isn't exactly that many these days. Disney alone advertised over nine billion lights this year!

DR GASPARICH: Really? That's a lot of lights.

[pause]

DR GASPARICH: Okay then, Christmas Town will have ... One... Hundred... BILLION LIGHTS!

Does anyone know how crowds are on opening weekend? I'll be up there Saturday and I'm trying to decide on whether or not I should purchase Quick Queue. Thanks, guys.

Last year I went on opening Saturday and it was nearly dead. This year, however the park has the $12 ticket deal this upcoming weekend, and with rain Sunday, most people who were planning to go then will probably change to Saturday. But even with all this, I would expect it to be no more than light-moderate crowds. So no, I'd say a QQ isn't needed.

I really would prefer not to have to choose specific showtimes. I'd prefer to have reserved seating for one showtime of my choice for each show, similar to a one-time priority for attractions.

May there be a street show in Banbury?
