Frosty moves to Pompeii....gasp

Oh, how I dearly hope that isn't sarcasm... Frosty would be SO much better than Tacky Claus!!! But I won't get my hopes up too high.

I think this is old news, but I wanted to post it just in case. The 2013 schedule is up on the site. Good news for me, since I'm planning my trip now! :) But nothing else on the site is updated.. I'm sure I'll be waiting a while. But I'll post if I see anything new in the next months. I'll be checking... Because, you know, I'm obsessive like that... :p

CT is scheduled to open the week before Thanksgiving already. Unless I looked at the calendar wrong. ;)

Oh yeah, I would be all over that $30 CT pass. A dream come true!

Wrong. Christmas Town opens November 22nd. :)

Nov. 22nd...Which is the week before Thanksgiving (Nov. 28th). It's on the Internet man.

"In the United States, Thanksgiving is always celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November."

That is a big group of people they are looking for for Christmas Town. Thanks Cody.

Like Zach said, it is too early to tell. Hopefully more info from the park will be released in advance so everyone will know what to expect before the set up their vacations and trips this year.

The pay scale for performers is shockingly small. Granted, I know nothing about the typical theme park employee's pay. Since they don't pay them that much, you'd think they'd be able to actually afford to work them and pay them.

That sentence made no sense. I'm going back to sleep... Zzzz...

Sorry. I looked at the calendar wrong. Carry on.

Side acts for 2013 may have been cut. New France duo, New France solo, brass band, Ireland trio, bagpiper, and Carolers may all be gone. The big show Miracles may be gone too. Sesame Xmas show is gone.

So it might be jumping the gun, especially since it's not even howloscream yet, but does anyone know anything about this years Christmastown? Should we expect the same event as last year? Will they add more lights? Will we get the holiday hills experience in other hamlets throughout the park?? I'm really hoping for this personally. Especially hearing that's the plan for hos. Let's hope the park at least does something to expand and improve upon the event!

Scott said on pass-member preview day that some of the "more outdated" areas will get all new overlays. That being said, take this with a massive grain of salt. Things could have changed since then, but I think the park needs to rely on attendance and revenue to pick up during Howl-O-Scream, and Christmas Town, because now they aren't doing to well. The only real details we know so far, is that Sesame Street won't play due to renovations, Gloria is returning, and they might cut out outdoor performances. Hopefully they will still do Miracles, because I think it's one of their best shows, along with Gloria.

As far as the coasters, I'd like to see Verbolten operating again and possibly Alpengiest as well based on its winter/snow theme. Expansion into Forest of Fun would also be a welcome addition considering CT is a family event and I'm thinking that the flat rides/Grover would be able to operate in the cold. Miracles was good last year but if I had to choose I'd rather keep the street performers. No carolers? No bagpiper? The atmosphere in the hamlets would take a big hit if they were cut.

HoS pretty much captivates the forum, so I think we will be able to hear something next during Pass Member Appreciation Weekend on Sept. 7-8.

Honestly, the only place to expand for Christmas Town is Sesame Street and Land of the Dragons. I can see them possibly expanding into Sesame Street either this year or next year especially if the Sesame Street isn't showing. You have to have some Sesame Street for the kids :p

But I wouldn't count on rethemed hamlets for Christmas Town, at least until the event runs completely boring. But honestly, I think that the major changes this year will be how decor is set up, and how lights are arranged for the most part.

I wouldn't expect any MAJOR new changes to the event period this year.
