The advertising is very clever, and rememberable, if all you had was a Santa(like a mall). In this case, It has very little to do with CT and BGW and doesn't showcase anything about the park....even the scenes of them in the trees is not a normal place at the park.  They could have hit a home run if instead of at home, if the kid asked those questions while walking through the park, sitting at the shows, eating at the festhaus....or even walking through the park at different times of the year(spring, summer, HOS).  Then not only are you showcasing the park itself, but also Santa and CT.

Yeah, I thought it was good that many of the questions about the commercial gave you the option to indicate how much it made you think of Busch Gardens- for me, I think it's a cute and clever commercial but it could advertising for basically anything that has a Santa (like a mall, as you said).  Busch Gardens should be highlighting how much more this event has to offer/what it has to offer that's different from other area Christmas events.

I thought I'd take the time to share my 1st CT experience before it becomes faded memory. 1st off, CT 2013 was my 1st visit to BGW in a long time. A very long time. Put it this way, the last time I was there, Drachen Fire was there too! This event was SO much fun for my family and I. It was my 1st ride on Verbolten. I was not aware of the 'drop' in any way shape or form. I would imagine that most people reading this knew about the 'drop' before boarding. So I guess you can imagine how surprised I was. The overall atmosphere of CT was just great! Everybody, including employees, had a cheerful sense of pride to be there.

The first thing we did was ride what my Daughter called 'the flying buckets' :) This gave me my first look at Griffon! I was sad to learn that I would not be riding it. Moving on though, we soon found the hot chocolate and the train! Which leads me to my 'humorous' portion of the story.

While riding the train with our hot chocolate, fudge, and extremely excited 3 year old. We begin to cross the first truss. The Christmas lights are flashing, the happy music is playing, and all is good. Until I lifted my daughter up out of her 'seated position' to look down the Rhine. It was like a screeching halt to everything festive! The music stopped, the lights quit flashing, the 'normal' lights came on, and a deep stern voice was telling me what I had done wrong (good feeling gone).. After this voice told me 3 differently worded versions of the rule I had broke, everything came back on and was cheerful again. Whoops :)

We saw all of the shows except for Miracles. I never was much of a show guy, but I certainly enjoyed the top notch shows at CT. I wont go into details about what I liked and didn't like. I'll just say that I liked WAY more than I didn't like. My daughter especially liked 'deck the halls' because it had Frosty the Snowman in it!

After a couple visits to CT, which my family and I thoroughly enjoyed, We got BGW season passes for 2014! While the changes that I saw in this place were completely SHOCKING to me, having not been in 15 years, I look forward to experiencing what it has become. And for the record, I thought Drachen Fire was wicked!

I agree, I thought Alpen, and Vbolt should have been open. Going even further I bet they would have come up with a Holiday Hills themed name for Apollo as well.

So I know this is an old thread, and there's no guarantee you'll see this, but Apollo's get's stuck at appx. 48 degrees Fahrenheit and below, so it's a no go for CT.
