The park will be open on New Years Eve, but there's not going to be a party. There will be a large-scale fireworks show at 10pm, though.

Hi everyone. Please read the BGW Blog article: http://www.buschgardensvablog.com/close-calls#disqus_thread

It is the best and most detailed, honest, and eye-opening read about the park I have seen in quite some time. The article goes into park policies and really explains things like why the park cannot stay open past the 31st for make-up snow days, how they decide when the park is at capacity, and so forth.

Great- great- great article!

Tonight they are having a concert featuring The Guess Who band and fireworks to follow!

Some intresting news for Christmas Town 2011.

It seems that the park will indeed expand there operation days to operate everyday in December. This isnt an offical word released from them yet, but by looking at the operations calendar you can see it showing everyday in December being open! Seems like they listened about expanding! Check it out for yourself. http://www.buschgardens.com/bgw/Plan/Calendar.aspx

I wonder how they are going to pull that off with out any highschool/college kids during the week until at least the second week in dec.

ChristmasTown isn't even on the upcoming events page yet. And the calendar is this year's event (Check the 26th if you don't believe me. It was the day of the major snowstorm, and the park was shut down). What is kind of odd is the fact that the second Mondy it's open. Anyway, I seriously doubt the dates have already been set in stone. The event ended less than twenty-four hours ago.

Aside from those facts, it would be cool, but I would assume they would lose a boatload of money.

Sky - Not trying to ruin anyone's holiday season.

To be safe there is a wind restriction on the skyride; do not quote me - but 20-25mph sounds about right. Personally, I love horizontal G-Forces.. (BBW and Alpengeist being my fave coasters and all) but on the Skyride?? I think not. I am glad the park has high safety standards for one.

I will agree with you on that BUT if it was so bad then why even run one leg of it? I saw at least 100+ tickets get handed out in guest relations waiting for my family to get there as a compensation for being dumped in the back of the park

This is a little off topic, but what day does the park open? I know the calander says March 26, but is that for Pass Member Preview Day, or is that when it opens to the general public?
