My family decided not to head up because of the weather. We have to be in Richmond Saturday morning so we are looking at going on the way back

Well Friday should be a fantastic day to go to CT with all the snow that should be on the ground.

Im going to CT 2morrow, and the time i get their the weather said it would be about 38 or 39 degrees, would the griffon still be open??

I really think it's probably done for the year. I remember last year, once they started closing it, they never reopened, even on days when it was in the upper '40s. They'd probably be better served saying it's only going to be open for the 1st two weekends or something to avoid the constant question.

Does anyone think it would really be that much of a loss for them to just leave it closed during Christmas Town? If they did though, it'd be nice to have the price dropped by a buck or two.

i doubt you would see the price drop simply because Griffon isn't open. But I do think they should keep it open as long as they can. Its a major selling point to have your marque coaster open during this event or at least an attempt to have it open.

I have a few more questions as I prepare to visit the park next week.

Are there any animals out during Christmas (wolves, eagles, sheep, etc.)?

Are there any reindeer at the park?

Is Santa's Workshop simply a place for kids to meet Santa, or is it something of a display of sorts to see and enjoy even for adults?

Is there a refillable mug available for hot drinks?

Thanks for all the photo and info everyone has shared.

The Highland Stables still have all of their normal animals (sheep, horses, an owl, etc.) and the Polar Pathway has some penguins as well as a few other animals.

No reindeer. Sorry.

Santa's workshop, unless I'm missing something, is just a place to have your picture taken with Santa.

Yes, you can get a refillable hot chocolate mug (not sure of the initial cost) and refill it for 99 cents.

Hope you have a good time!

They announced today on Facebook that Griffon will not be reopened during the remaining days of CTown.

I'm sure that was well received.

It's a war zone. I would say about 50-50, some taking it in stride and some saying they will never return....
