I just want them to do something else with the "story telling" segment. In my opinion, that has always been the weakest part of the show. The second runner up are the American dancers, that scene's finale is awesome, but the parts in between get old even with the ever changing improvisations.

Ever since they lost both guys that could do amazing tricks such as a double split, it hasn't been as exciting to me. I do like the female American dancers, but I haven't seen them do any cool tricks yet, like the ones I mentioned above.

That almost makes me sad to know that it happened in the past. There was a guy earlier this year that was one of the Americans and he was really good. The girls play up the background flirting/talking. When the guy is in there the chance just isn't there for as much fun background action (can you tell I've seen the show a few times this year?) .

I would love to see some more mixups more often with those dancers. And I know the girls gotta change, but it would be nice to see the guy get to flirt dance with someone when in there.

I just find it wonderful that the Celtic Fyre dance ensemble takes some time away to teach young talented dancers how to perform Irish step dancing. BGW should be very proud of that heart-warming moment.

There are schools, dance groups and education programs in both the US and EU that teach that all time, so while heart warming is not that impressive.

I love this! thanks for sharing! Those dancers do not get long breaks between shows, how sweet to take the time to make this girl's day! Bravo to all!

That is what I saw as well. I remember because I know a lot of their dancers are currently on tour in Rockin' Road to Dublin and I was surprised they would be opening with enough cast without them. (I have tickets to the tour Tuesday the 27th and it only began a week or so again and continues through April)

I personally think Celtic Fyre is gonna get the boot next year. This has been running for almost 8 years now. Now even I want it to stay, I see the end isn't that far away.

I'm curious, what makes you think this? Is it just the age of the show? From what I understand it still draws a crowd and has a loyal following.

Nothing really in particular, just the age like you and I mentioned. I understand that it gets a loyal following but I just see BGW changing rapidly just because of CoDK, EITA, and other various changes. I could name more but I can't think right now.

Personally, I would not protest letting Celtic Fyre become the park's long-running "signature" show. It still plays to standing room only even on moderately attended days, the crowd adores it, and it has been nationally recognized for its quality.

The benefit of the show being so focused on dance is that the choreography can change greatly from season to season, which keeps things fresh without altering the heart of the show. I feel like the American tap dance scene and Finnegan's Wake are totally different every season, and it adds just enough newness to keep the show a must-see season after season for me.

I'd be happy with letting Celtic Fyre become the new This Is Oktoberfest, which had a run of almost four decades and became something of a park staple. I doubt that will ever happen, but whenever Celtic Fyre does raise its parting glass, the park had better have a damn good replacement lined up.

It's time for a change.   The choreography is great, but there are only a few songs where the vocals get to shine. The corny bar songs should be replaced by something more moving and emotional. There is so much better music Irish music out there.

They don't have to trash the entire show, but the weak parts are due for a change.

I am personly getting they keep it for at least 2 more years. Maybe it's just my love for even numbers but closing after a decade long run seems to have a nicer ring then closing after an 8 year run.
