Wow, if they do find a way to put the music in Candy Apple Grove, it would make the area feel complete. The Singing Mushrooms, the Floral Clock, and the huge Candy Apples around the midway really does transport you to the golden years, the ragtime/jazz music would be the icing on the cake.

Can't wait until May when I'll be there.

I really do hope KD makes the decision to change the music selection in Candy Apple Grove, as VAman pointed out, it would really solidify the theme in the area. From there on they would just have to work on aesthetics(replacing Asphault, general architecture maintenance/renovations, etc.) and Candy Apple Grove could be just as a delightful, and immersive an experience as International Street.

It would be really nice if there is nothing but charming brick-pavers with some buildings getting a nice charming enchantment that still fits that classic midway feel that Candy Apple Grove calls for.

Remember how the park said they would forward my suggestion to the maintenance department? Well, they really did! He's the message I got from the maintenance department today:

Thank you very much for your feedback about the music we play in Candy Apple Grove. Over the past few years, we have gone with pop music for this area as when compared to the other areas of the park, we feel the energy in Candy Apple Grove to be very upbeat and energetic…whether it be the rides or games in the area.

That being said, we will certainly discuss your suggestion. We appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear you are excited for the 2015 season.

It would be cool and wonderful if the maintenance department goes ahead with changing the atmosphere music.

This would be a wonderful track to use:

So Stemmle was on sight today drilling holes in the ground. Looks like pipe work.

*sigh*

It's too bad that Kings Dominion didn't have the time to change the area's music to an appropriate theme like the others did.

Since the park is working on Delirium, I wonder what sort of "subtle changes" are going to be in 2016?

You need to take a look at Kings Dominion's Facebook page. Grizzly is getting attention for 2016.

New Coca-Cola booth in Candy Apple Grove is growing! Plus, I spy concept art... that doesn't really look anything like what is being built...

Yes, refill cups! There has GOT to be a better way than waiting in line at a restaurant to get your cup refilled. I really like the way Universal does theirs. There is a RF chip in the bottom of the cup that allows you to refill at any of the many Coke Freestyle machines scattered around the park. Just put your cup in the machine, and the machine verifies your cup is legit and allows you to fill. No attendants needed, very minimal lines even on super crowded days.

The vintage cars in the Hurler area are missing. :(

I hope they come back!

After 10 months of absence, the cars are back and look shinier than ever! The park clearly put a lot of effort into beautifying the classic vehicles. I'm not sure how the new coaster right behind them will affect their future, but for now, it makes me so happy that they're back. :D

Pro tip: the new Candy Apple Grove Coke Refresh Station next to the Old Virginia restrooms is the only soda fountain in the park that serves Coca-Cola's new Barrilitos Aguas Frescas line. These beverages are billed as Mexican-inspired "subtly sweet flavored water beverages" made of juice, flowers, and seeds.

The park's two flavors are strawberry hibiscus and pineapple. They taste sweeter than traditional "flavored water" but have a lighter, more subtle sweetness than soda or other non-carbonated drinks. Both of them reminded me of the beverages found at Epcot's Club Cool. Plus, a 12-oz serving has fewer than 100 calories and significantly less sugar than the same size serving of soda. I definitely recommend checking out these new drinks as their refreshing, exotic flavor is a welcome change from the park's standard listing of Coke products.

The refresh station in the congo area by Outter Hanks also has the new Barrilitos Aguas flavored water. I agree the strawberry hibiscus is the best.

Yesterday I posted about the missing antique cars that used to be in front of Juke Box Diner, and it got me thinking... is there a legal reason the park can't have the cars on display? They were both Chevrolet Bel Airs, and as far as I know Cedar Fair has no partnership with Chevrolet; I actually think they've done deals with their competitors in the past, but I'm not sure. Is it possible the park can't show the cars because of something like licensing reasons? I'm not an expert in this field. Does anyone here have any idea?
