RE: BGW's Facebook Page

My guess is the ride is just down for winter maintenance. Gotta keep the ride running for another 30 more years at least ;)

I do think the park needs to consider opening another coaster though. Having just one major ride running isn't a good idea if the park keeps getting slammed with people.

Wow, I guess I am more then mildly popular. First I would like to say I had no clue this was a post on the Busch Gardens wall. Janis is a friend of mine and I thought I was posting on a comment on her wall. I understand she did not find it funny and I apoligize. I would also like to state to my new found "fanbase" that yes the show is adult orianted, and has been broadcasting strong for 9 years now, and though we may have talked about underage sex, it was because it was a news story. I never said I had sex with underage children. I have to say I agree with Billy in the fact that someone made a comment similar to mine, and no one attact him. Diabetes is a serios health issue. I have several family members with different types and several friends, many of who I feel would have found my comment funny. All this being said I want to say I am sorry Janis. I never ment to be hurtful.

It's okay guys, Clint has reassured everybody that he hasn't had underaged sex.

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

In my opinion, I am sure he meant it as a joke, but when you say a joke to people through just words, depending on how people read it can make it seem like a insult rather than a joke. I have been down this road before where one text has gotten me in big trouble simply because the person read it wrong and didn't catch the joke.

At least he admitted guilt and apologized. BTW I have a friend who is diabetic and he would think the joke was funny.

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

You blocked my wife's profile from commenting and deleted her comments about how horribly we were treated this weekend in regards to our VIP tour. Good job BG, wonderful customer service. Not only have you lost 6 platinum pass members, you've gotten yourself a report to the Dept of Justice in regards to a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act, a report to the BBB for your very shady business practices, and we've reported you for fraud to our bank. We will post our experiences everywhere, whether you delete them on your page or not. You could have saved yourself a lot of trouble by addressing our issue!!!

My response is 1) How are they violating this Americans with Disabilities Act? 2) What shady business practices? 3) I'm sure they've done business with them before and all was good.

1) I can't see where being disabled has anything to do with this? So your wife can't post or comment, at least you can still visit the park and do all you want. Even in the original complaint there was nothing about being disabled that I remember, if there is I retract this portion of my response, should it prove to be relevant.

2) The park has employed many people and sometimes they don't know how things go because that is human error. I see no shady business practice. So you have a complaint that was removed from a place that is not meant to receive complaints, you could have sent an email to the park or called them to make you satisfied.

3) I honestly don't see being reported for fraud to a bank significant, as I am sure the bank knows the park well, since I'm sure their customers have done business with the park before and this bank should be able to tell the park makes mistakes but doesn't do fraud.

All in all I find this threatening response to be irrelevant and not so much a problem to the park. Any other thoughts on this?

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

I posted a response..

"Ben Sutton - From what I understand, the FB page is ran by the marketing dept. If you have an issue that you need to address, you have to contact guest relations."

Just plain rediculous.

You don't decide this. The person with the condition decides this. I have a pretty obvious physical condition that I am comfortable joking about and my friends joking about as well. If I have a question for a business and some random (not so random in this case) douchebag comes and makes fun of said condition, you better believe I'm going to get pissed.

This situation is a bit more complicated because in this case, the park invites him to media events. Inexcusable behavior, but we all know that Clint was never that respectable before all this.

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

I have talked to my friend about this, and he does think it was funny. The thing is, it was meant as a joke and not to be taken as an insult, obviously not everyone can comprehend that maybe someone decided to post as joke, they all assume it is an insult or they take it as one when the person was not trying to be insulting.

What if it happened in line at a snack stand, a person asks for sugar free hot chocolate and the guy next to him says it called chili or what not. Would they have gotten so upset then? Probably not because they would be able to underst the tone and original context of what it was supposed to mean.

Either way, I think how he went about this "joke" was very wrong and inconsiderate, however he did apologize and that should be what matters.

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

You clearly missed what I was saying entirely. He had no right to make any comments about the subject no matter what the intent.

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

The VIP Tour complaint was reposted by the husband this time. How long till it gets removed?

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

It was removed again. It is always the ones that you least expect to complain, who go all out and complain like crazy when something like this happens.

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

Well, to be fair, if the original post was true, they have a right to be quite angry. It sounds like they got screwed over pretty bad.

Presumably the ADA thing has to do with some part of the VIP tour. I'm guessing that some part of the tour was inaccessible to her? That sucks for sure, but I'd guess that BGW's contract when you buy the tour passes mentions that parts of the tour may be inaccessible. I also don't think BGW has to be ADA compliant since they're a private business.Of course, as a disabled person it would be rad for BGW to be as accessible as possible, but I don't think they're in legal bad standing ADA-wise.

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

I agree with Zach, if the story is true, they have a reason to be mad but to go so far as to threatening the park, never.

Nope, I don't go to law school, but I've been told I'd make a great lawyer. I guess I just like to analyze things fully.

What was this hard-hitting guest complaint about?

Can't run below a certain temperature, my butt. I still have my photos from riding coasters front row during a snowstorm. Loch Ness being the most fun in the snow.

I feel like this person is absurdly ignorant to safety procedures. Yes, they could run in colder weather but they key is, can they run safely in said cold weather. This is my only explanation for them saying they have ridden the coasters in snow before.

However I think this person is just lying personally. When have they ever had snow between mid-March to October? Well I can understand in March but unless there is some magically weather to be warm and snowing, I believe this comment is false.

Anyone else like to share their thoughts?

From what I was told by a number of sources, Loch Ness can run in any temperature, but the coaster has to be continuously running or it will shut down. The newer coasters can't run below 40 degrees or they will shut down.

The person probably rode early in the season.

Just wanted to confirm that it has snowed while the park has been open and operating all the coasters, so this person probably is not lying. About 8 years ago it snowed on Preview Day in March. I have rode Apollo's in snow. And yes it hurt.
