RE: BGW's Facebook Page

Not if you think about it... the whole of the animal kingdom is not contained within the confines of the park.

And would it be freaking cool if it did?

Well I mean if you can recall this thread it really does make sense why someone would assume an eagle belongs to the park, also to not bald eagles just aren't everywhere like they used to be.

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

No, it doesn't make sense. Here's a map of active bald eagle nests from 2010. The kid just doesn't know anything about Bald Eagles.

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

You guys really need to stop obsessing over where the big birds sleep and mate. Would you want the location of your boudoir plotted and commented on? Don't think so.

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

I think we're missing the point. What if Busch Gardens is really the front for an illegal Government Bald Eagle cloning facility? It would have to be secret since cloning would piss off the people who think the eradication of a species is "God's Will" and cloning would circumvent that. They were endangered and were recently removed from that list, the park could be responsible about that. The location makes sense as well. It has to be away from large cities since,
"The Bald Eagle is usually quite sensitive to human activity while nesting, and is found most commonly in areas with minimal human disturbance. It chooses sites more than 1.2 km (0.75 mi) from low-density human disturbance and more than 1.8 km (1.1 mi) from medium- to high-density human disturbance." (Source)
That's why you can't have an Eagle cloning facility near large human populations and why they're not commonly seen as often as say, squirrels. It would also make sense since the eagles that can't fly are the park's clone rejects.

I've seen this statement many times over the past 20 years as a civil engineer in the state of Virginia, however I have three very active landfill projects that have active bald eagle nests. The nests appeared after we started construction. They weren't there before, becuase we have to conduct endangered species and environmental studies. Over the years we've seen them produce younglings. So, you can draw your own conclusions about eagles and human activity.

However on their Facebook page, the park has been posting this in regards to the same situation/question:

Pass Member Preview Day is meant to be a special day for our pass members. We open for all guests the next day on March 17. Hope to see you.

How do you think pass holders and the GP will take this? How will the park respond to the post by Christopher Schwartz:

Dear BGW Please settle two contrasting answers that are coming from your park in reference to SEASON PASSHOLDERS DAY and who is able to come that day

But on here BGW has been posting the following when ask questions about bringing someone with them.
Pass Member Preview Day is meant to be a special day for our pass members. We open for all guests the next day on March 17. Hope to see you.
Iam now very confused as to how SPECIAL of a day this really is if just anyone can come to a day that is set aside for passholders.
SO WHICH IS CORRECT WHAT YOU ON HERE HAVE BEEN POSTING OR THE EMAIL POST..JUST HOW SPECIAL OF A DAY IS THIS REALLY FOR PASSHOLDERS... I await your response thank you.

Just something to stir up conversation :)

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

Goes back to the discussion in the Pass Member Preview thread. Regardless of what they actually say, I have a very, very hard time believing that they'll actually turn any paying customers away.

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

From a FB post:
"Refills going up 30 cents to 129 was little bummer but still cheaper than most"

I got refills for .99 as usual plus pass discount. Any validity to this statement?

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

Yes, they raised the price. Remember you also have to add tax on top of those prices. As someone who brings cash to the park, having to break 2 bills now is going to suck.

Speaking of drinks the cart next to the carrictures in England has bottled drinks for a dollar less than the rest of the park. Paid $2.99 yesterday. Not bad!
That's still ridiculously overpriced.
