RE: BGW's Facebook Page

I believe that only applies to the Loch Ness Monster 35th Year Anniversary cup which, I'm sure, will cost a fortune.

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

A platinum passholder is upset because 1) her and her family can't get their preferred parking because it's full and 2) BGW wasn't prepared for the spring break crowd this week.

I have been very disappointed in my last view visits to Busch Gardens. First, being platinum pass holders we've continued to run into the issue of preferred parking being sold out. For a family who has been to all holiday events and visits at least once a week during the regular season, I expect to have the items that I pay for available to me and my family. I would also like to touch on the spring break crowd and how unorganized it was on Monday. The hour we spent, minimally, in traffic at the gate, then sitting in the ONE lane of parking traffic was absurd. The best was when we ended up in the Balvaria lot and came upon the tram line that wrapped around the parking lot. Needless to say we left before we even got in line... Extremely frustrated.

Poster's responses -
Anyone know how the crowds are today?
as a passholder you would think one would know when to go and when to stay the hell away...although preferred parking comes with our platinum passes if its full what do you expect
If preferred parking is full when you get to the park, their's nothing you or the park can do about it. You will just have to park where ever the parking attendant tells you go.

Her response -
This is a conversation between me and Busch Gardens. Your comments are not welcomed. Much obliged.

If you want a private conversation with BGW, why would you post openly on the Facebook page? smh lol

I'm Kind've half & half on this one. First of all It was really this crowded this week:shocked:! I would have never expected that(I'm being serious), so I wouldn't say it was her fault for going on a busy day, I would have never thought it would be so busy, even on spring break, but that's just me.
Second of all, I'm a platinum pass member too, and I get mad when the preferred parking is sold out, but I know that there is nothing that BGW can do about it. Except for expand the preferred parking, but they have no where to go, so you can't blame them either on that one. However, sometimes I like changing it up, and riding the tram, I would also be mad about having a tram line that went around the parking lot:shocked:. This would be BGW's fault though (in my opinion it would), if there is a line that extended around the parking lot then BGW should, put all of the trams they can on the Scotland, an Bavaria parking lot.
Overall, There are some things that I would agree with her on but, there are just some things that are out of BGW's hands.

I get my panties in a twirl when I can't get my preferred parking on the Fourth of July when I go to the park around 4:30pm. I mean, I payed for a PLATINUM PASS?? What gives?!?

 Are you serious?!? I mean I'm not trying to be judgy but, I can't believe you think that you can get preferred parking at anytime on July 4th. You would be lucky to get it after 11:00 AM. July 4th is probably the most attended day at BGW.

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

I can understand her frustrations but if preferred parking is sold out when you get to the park, their's nothing you can do. BGW isn't going to start moving cars so that you get a parking space there.

I was surprised too by the crowds. I guess alot of parents took time off this week too. :shrugs:

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

The hour sitting in traffic should've tipped her off to the lack of spaces and especially lack of preferred spaces. Maybe if sjhe was Just visiting for the weekend, I'd sympathize with her, but she definitely should know better than to wait in traffic getting into the park only to find the premium lots are gone.

On and for reference, July 3rd and 4th are generally inconsistent with crowds. Some years the park is dead until fireworks, like last year while other years, the park closes at 2 or 3 for capacity.

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

Hot Tip! The park is required to give free parking away as long as there is traffic backed up on 64. The police have forced them to do this in order to keep traffic moving on the interstate. Not that you guys don't already get free parking with your passes :p

EDIT: Sorry for the multiple posts. I swear the computer just went on the fritz.

~Also, I think this lady is ridiculous. Hours in line just to get to park obviously means there is not going to be any preferred parking. maybe she got confused and thought because she has a platinum pass it is always offered? Also, Spring Break actually does bring in extremely busy days. I remember two years ago I think, profits were tripled or something like that for the park? And then the culinary department made 1 million dollars alone on one day either last Spring Break or the Spring Break before. Also, pass member must means she visits frequently or just enough to know when to go and when to get ehre early or stay home.

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

It's hilarious, because when I got there yesterday at 8:15, I PAID for preferred parking and got right in the first spot, then went and enjoyed a long day with my children. I have a sign on my desk at work that BGW should post on the website for comments..."Lack of planning on your part does not constitute a sense of urgency on mine."

Plus, I am sure her agreement says, "free preferred parking, if available." They aren't gonna save something if someone else is will to pay for it.

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

^you need to take a pic of that sign and post it on the Facebook page :)

I was in a rush to get to work this morning. I didn't know about the free parking thing. If I'm stuck in traffic for let's say an hour, would I get free parking when I get to the gate?
