RE: BGW's Facebook Page

I think if it were worded so that it was clear that you can wear whatever you want *with the exception that* they could refuse entry to anyone whose dress could cause that person to be confused for a BG employee or scare actor, I'd be okay with that.

...back on topic: if I got refused entry for dressing like Lebowski, I'd be ranting all over Facebook. Like a middle-aged woman with 6 year olds in Bitten.

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

Once again, there's a fine line. If somebody went to the park dressed as Mickey Mouse, people will (should) obviously tell it's not an employee, but is still could create some confusion. If somebody wants to dress up as plain clothes Tony Stark, that's fine and I doubt park security would reject you. However, I don't the 'no costume' rule is a big deal.

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

My daughter & I had a great time yesterday--as always! Thanks, BG! (By the way, I take my teenage daughter who loves HOS. I don't take my young son b/c scares aren't his thing. I wish other parents would follow the same with their kids . . . to see adults dragging their terrified kids around, after BG has warned them that it's not for little ones, just makes me SMH!)

This person deserves an award

Like I said before, if you have a season pass, there's no reason for you to get mad at the park closing to capacity on a Saturday during HOS season. Alpengeist actually had an hour wait yesterday. I don't think I've ever seen the line get longer than 15 minutes on average.

On the same note, I heard KD closed to capacity-level crowds yesterday too.

What time was that? I rode it a little after 5 and I waited in line for maybe 10 min

In reply to the costume issue, rule fo thumb is if you are obviously wearing a costume blatantly, no. If you are wearing something that relates to regular everyday attire, then yes.

Now for the Eagle; a while back, an eagle (or some type of large predator bird) escaped the (a) habitat and went missing for a few days. It had gotten so far as the First Aid station in the Wild Reserve. Since then it has been found and placed back in its habitat. As far as their flight ability, they can still jump and flap their wings and sort of fly, but they can't take off and soar like they originally could, and because of this they become vulnerable in the wild. Obviously they have gotten better at getting over the enclosure, perhaps they can add a larger enclosure much like the aviary in Lorikeet Glen in the Wild Reserve.

The park posted a poll, which Howl-o-Scream show do you like the most. And the results clearly is Fiends is #1 by 77 votes, Dig It Up is #2 by 22 votes, and Night Beats is last by 11 votes. So clearly the GP enjoys the nurses just as much. I guess the ones who complained about Fiends are the minority in this situation.
The nurses should have on less clothing :p

I saw Fiends on YouTube and enjoyed it very much. The only show I saw in person at HOS was Night Beats. Fiends was so much better than Night Beats. I can see it coming back next year.

Has anybody seen the Tampa version of Fiends? I want to watch it when I get a chance. I've heard it's alot better than the Williamsburg version.

This was around 8 or so. The line filled up most of the overflow near the entrance. It didn't go into the entrance shack, but it was close enough to see. Griffon was using part of its overflow underneath the drop, but only two lines were filled (wait for that was around an hour too).

I am kind of surprised that the image from Dillon Garcia's FB post hasn't been taken down by BG. I reported it as inappropriate. The image does not have commenting enabled (at least from my end). Since people get super fired up over really tiny issues, I imagine the comments on this would be insane.

Yes, that was bad. I reported it as well after seeing your post. It has disappeared from BG's page now. I can't believe that was showing since around 7:30 last night. Wow!

I think when you report something it just takes it out of your own view. I accessed it through my gf's FB and I can still see it there.

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

Planned to visit from Philadelphia for the last weekend. We go every year. We had to cancel due to the hurricane. The $560 we spent on tickets for 4 people to come for 2 days will not be refunded. They stand behind their no refunds policy even when that means putting 2 children and 2 women in a car to drive toward a hurricane only to be stuck in a hotel to ride out the storm. I was well aware of the "inclement weather" policy, but feel very strongly that "Frankenstorm" is more than inclement weather and that a park that pretends to be all about families should set aside greed to show the customer (now former customer) that the well being of its patrons does matter. Closing on Sunday is nice, but it is simply not enough in these extreme circumstances when times are tough overall.

Must of missed the 10 times the park said they were giving refunds.....

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

The park was giving 2013 Rain Checks for guests who bought tickets and did not use them today. I believe they start giving rain checks starting Saturday night and onward. Perhaps he tried 1) getting a refund instead of a rain check which is his own fault to an extent and 2) getting the refund/rain check before the magic time they start handing out rain checks.

Lots of little things here that could have changed this situation. Rain Check does not equal Refund.

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

So the guy spends 500 dollars and is well-aware that a hurricane is coming anyway. He's visited the park plenty of times, and I'm sure he's aware of the park's rain policy as well (pretty much every park in the country has a similar rain policy to begin with), yet he still complains?

^ Did the park really not give out rain checks early in the day for people who were planning on visiting Sunday? That sounds like a bad move for the park.

- The guy still should've planned ahead anyway.
