RE: BGW's Facebook Page

I just looked at their page. They are NOT deleting all the negative comments. That's not even remotely close to a true statement. I suppose they have deleted some they felt were inappropriate (which is nothing new). Also, there is just no way, ANY company is going to allow personal attacks against their employees to stand on their FB pages. And they shouldn't be expected to.

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

I've seen multiple posts deleted just for saying something about Scott- nothing personal, just criticizing the job he's doing.

They can't allow that. And they shouldn't. It's not fair to him.

They've always left generic complaints about "employees" or "the powers that be" or "the guy in charge of" stand on the page. But they simply cannot allow employees to be called out BY NAME. Period.

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

Thing I find odd is that he's being called out for Entwined and the Illuminights shows, the HoS shows are actually... great.

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

I love this post. She states here opinions quite well but I particularly found this part quite entertaining:

HowlOScream is fun this year so dont be discouraged. My advice to the staff at BG I know you want to reach out to all groups but dont forget us who have grown with you and know what WE want when we come to the park for an awesome time. Rethink Root of All Evil, Bring back Jack, bring back Monster Stomp, have even MORE scare hordes and this years HowlOScream will be PERFECT..in MY opinion.

She's basically saying the park should roll back all the changes the park made this year. Sounds like a pretty good idea aside from the shows.

Now see, I don't know why you'd say "aside from the shows." She likes the old shows better. She's probably not alone.

I think that, you know, if the new shows were better than the old ones, she wouldn't be complaining.

Like, in my case...I like MSR. And so people can say that's resisting change and I only like old stuff. But that's not true, because I remember the OLD Monster Stomp show from the Palladium. I immediately preferred the Revamped show...because it was better than what it replaced.

Not that you're saying this Zachary, but I can hear the chorus starting now. If people on facebook are saying they want the old shows back, I don't think that automatically means they're clinging to the past...the old shows just might be better.

I, too, immediately took to Revamped. That having been said, MSR was reeeallly getting tired last year. The cast was half the size of what it was in season one.

Sorry, should have said this:

I stuck my opinion in at the end there without making it very clear. Anyway, I, personally, love all the new shows. I really did like Monster Stomp a few years back, but as Haberdasher said, last year, MSR took a nosedive. It was time for a replacement in my honest opinion.

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

Hey, Haberdasher, the park seems to think that you were "making aggressive criticisms against members of the Busch Gardens' family". :p

Hi Fans – We’ve recently removed a few people from this fan page for making aggressive criticisms against members of the Busch Gardens’ family. As a general rule, we openly encourage and accept all of your feedback. In fact, we’ve used guest reviews to shape the Busch Gardens experience over the years, and we really appreciate all comments. But sometimes, other fans can cross the line and we don’t feel that this is the place for that kind of behavior. We do our best to make this a family-friendly forum for news, exclusive announcements and feedback. Thank you for your understanding.

Banning people from their Facebook page for mentioning the name of the park's VP of Entertainment. Laughable. He got up on stage and announced this stuff in front of everyone and in the end, the event rests on his shoulders. That's his job. That's what he gets paid for. Someone simply speaking Scott's name on their page is apparently grounds for a permanent ban. So sad.

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

What exactly did these people say? if they were calling Scott stupid or other insults, they deserve to be banned!. but if they simply say, Scott messed up this year. it's wrong to ban them

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

I haven't seen a single personal attack made against Scott. In fact, the worst I've seen was basically saying that Scott messed up once again and the person mentioned Entwined as a past example. Unlike the nurse controversy last year, people on both sides seem to be staying very civil. Well, that is, besides the park.

I think Scott may have volunteered to run the page for the day :p

EDIT: everyone on the page is applauding them BTW. My favorite comment: so you guys are taking away our first amendment right too!

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

I'm actually really shocked by how sour this whole situation is getting. From the facebook page to the actual in park problems, this HOS is just becoming a massive disaster that needs to be fixed quickly. Hopefully there are good changes coming up this weekend.

Little tiny parks. Social Media is for the park to GIVE information and not get it. I understand that it is hard for you to get as you have not seen the various forums with other larger chains; BGW IS a larger chain. What they do is no different than the others. It is not designed for criticism... SURVEYS are. If you want to complain and want it heard then use the outlets provided.

I should point out that Facebook pages give their operaters demographic information of people who have liked the page, so the park is taking away SOME knowledge through the Facebook page. Whether they use that information at all, I have no clue.
