There is a general media and social media policy that all employees sign as part of their on-boarding paper work it prohibits sharing information that they may learn while employed at the park. Enforcement can vary but can include up to termination.Did the employees that tested it have to sign a contract saying they wouldn't detail their experience to anyone else / online?
Employees may have not even got the full experience yet? Was their ride more for training cycles? There is a general media and social media policy that all employees sign as part of their on-boarding paper work it prohibits sharing information that they may learn while employed at the park. I honestly can't say what effects were on or not for the employee rides as my personal policy is I don't discuss rides with employees or look at any thing from people that have riden so that I don't spoil my first ride experience. I can say from conversation that happened after DK rides that there were not all effects on during employee rides to safe stuff for opening day.Employees may have not even got the full experience yet? Did they address the ride quality? Debatable. I wasn't asking for much, but it would have required a rework of supports.Checking in on permits and plans this morning, everything Loch Ness related is showing 100 percent completed, so other then the arrival of the Nessie statue when ever it finally arrives this project seems to be completed. Can’t help but think this seems like a great success even with out knowing how the tunnel turned out, they addressed the ride quality complaints, redid the queue, worked on the theming, added a sound track, added to the lore while respecting it.The feeling I pick up here on the site is we as fans feel like we were listened too. They did all of that and finished with two weeks to spare. If no one else is i am truly impressed.
I would say cutting out and replacing hundreds of feet of track and redoing the loops entirely is addressing the ride quality, I’m not saying there’s is not a debate to be had as to how well they did, and there’s is debate to be had on how well should they have done. There is somewhat of an argument that old arrows shouldn’t feel like buttery smooth b&ms. What I am saying is they showed us they were taking serious measures to preserve and respect this ride we all have feelings for.Did they address the ride quality? Debatable. Pretty much no. You need 3 trains to do it consistently, And the lift chain is slower these days so it's only possible during test runs. If you get to the park super early sometimes you might see them doing it before it opens though.Might be a bit early to judge but is there any chance we will see the two trains go through the interlocking loops again?
The ride should be smother and less bouncy. But the ride wasn't reprofiled in any way so it's still going to be some what jarring and rough do to being a wire driven design that predates heart lining. Any significant reprofile to fix those issues would likely have required new supports and probably new footers in some places. Even if money was not and issues the zone and restrictions fir the pipeline that Nessie actually crosses have tightened up so much that I doubt they could get the required approvals to do that type of work. I honestly think it was this or let her slowly die and I for one am glad they went this way.Did they address the ride quality? Debatable. Let's hope this brings in enough hype/money for them to do it to other coasters. I'd love to see extra theming added to AC/Griffon/Alpengeist or a Verboten refurbChecking in on permits and plans this morning, everything Loch Ness related is showing 100 percent completed, so other then the arrival of the Nessie statue when ever it finally arrives this project seems to be completed. If they're upgrading the ride with screwdrivers, then maybe the display car between station and lift wasn't attacked by Nessie after all.Just saw a worker drop a screwdriver into the loch… looks like opening may be delayed![]()
