I checked my EZ Pay last week, and it said i was charged 150 dollars on the 4th of April, but my bank account was never charged. They need to get their billing in control.
I checked both EZ Pay and my bank both showed the charge and guest services had the charge logged to thed account to so deffinately not a billing issue.

Fair enough.

Personally, aside from the hassle of having to wait in line for guest services (probably not too much of a line on a weekday in April?) I don't have much of an issue with their reimbursement method. It's not like the money paid for parking wouldn't have gotten spent in-park at some point.

They did just now FINALLY after going through 4 people. Apparently the memberships from last year don't always roll over their experexpertaction date automatically when they start billing for the new year and you MAY have to have guest services do so manually. How ever they don't let you through parking without pay if it shows you it's past it's date and guest services will try to tell you they won't refund your money in any form but Busch Bucks. They also admitted this is a KNOWN issue but apparently have made no accommodation to address it.

They need a Hersheypark like system to it. Hershey keeps a few parking gates for just members to go through for issues like this, then on top of that, they have a pullout to Chocolate World, where you can park and get the pass updated before the cop forces you back around into main parking.

Two issues with this the comment made by one of the guest service people was "it's another pass with the wrong date" this makes it pretty clear they have seen this before. In the past if you had an issue foeggg example I forgot to update my credit card number when the old one had expired they have Compt parking so you can get as far ss guest services to fix it. If this was a known issue there is no reason not to call someone in parking and say add this to the comp list.

Also as consumer should always have the right to ask for their payment back in its original form. You took the money in form you should return it in that form it's thasy simple. I am local to ther park and on s tight budget I eat before and after I go to save I very rarely get much in yhe park right now. I don't wasnt cash that can only be used at the park snd which might be lost before it's used. That should beed my right.

The problem with comping parking in this situation is that the majority of passes that are scanned as expired are actually expired. You can't just let everyone go through the gate who says they have a particular issue. When I worked there you would not believe how many times people tried to get free parking on a daily basis.

If your credit card is the issue they can see that when they scan your pass so they can verify that it needs to be updated. With this they have no way of verify beyond that your pass is expired.

I will state again this was apparently a KNOWN issue to the park. If you know you have this issue then you owe it to your paying guest to give them the benefit of the doubt.

I don't agree with you. It depends on the severity of the issue. If most days no one with said issue arrives then you most certainly don't need to have accommodation for it. And before you try to say that the guest services lady said that it was another pass with the wrong date doesn't mean that this is a large issue. We could be dealing with just a handful of people.

I'm sorry that this happened to you but in no way do we have enough information to establish how prevalent of an issue it is. It has been an issue long before memberships.

Also I agree about accommodating paying guests but as I stated the first time, the only information that the attendant at the booth has is that your pass is expired so at that point you are not a paying guest. Like I said from my time working there the majority of people who come through expired are actually expired and therefore not entitled to free parking.

I be willing to go with that if they could/would refund the money but they won't do that in any form other then Busch Bucks. If you can't refund it it's 100 percent on the company yo insure that the money is actually owed before taking. There is no excuse for that. I don't blame the parking person personally but the system is clearly broken.

Compare that to this. Last year I traveled up to DC on my way home I was going to stop by KD but realized when I got there that I had forgotten my pass in another car. I pulled up to the gate I explained the situation and asked what I needed to do to get to costumer service. I was fully ready to pay for parking they compt it no question asked.

This new membership confuses me. We have had 1park passes through EZ pass since 2011. I tried to contact them to see what benefits we have with this new membership system, but they suggested that I call. I called them and told me that my benefits are all listed under my account dashboard. All I see currently is a discount ticket for a friend. I am frustrated.

These two articles should help. If you still have questions after that, ask away!

You're lucky. When I log in, it shows that I've been paying for a membership.... but does not let me see a single benefit FOR the membership!

I tried changing my address today thru BGWs website and I entered in all the info, and the system still said i was missing a field. Therefore i was unsuccessful at changing my address

Free lanyards are available in August for members. Can these lanyards be obtained from WCUSA or just BGW? We got ours at BGW last year but are going to WCUSA next week, so we were going to go ahead and pick them up. If we can get them at WCUSA, which shop has them? Thanks in advance!!

So I don't know if this is the announcement that I was told about but on the website today they have the 2020 blockout calendar and they updated the members rewards for 2020.

Here is the blockout calendar for the rest of this year and 2020. It shows us what the park is currently planning the operating schedule to be for next year.

Blockout-Calendar.jpg

Some new member rewards for next year are the Platinum members get 2 free food and wine items per visit. All other memberships get one like this year. The only other big change that I noticed was that the free lanyard will be in April instead of August in 2020. They will continue to give away HOS QQ next year during August and for some reason in July they will be giving away a member exclusive CT mug. That must be a typo.

Beyond that from the rewards we can see when the member sneak peeks will be held March 14th, September 18th (HOS), November 20th (CT). Based on the rewards and block out calendar we know that currently Food and Wine will run from May 16th to June 28th, HOS will run from September 18th to November 1st and CT will run from November 20th to January 3rd. WCUSA will be open from May 16th to September 7th. So their final operating day will be Labor day in 2020.

Obviously all of this is subject to change but that appears to be the plan currently.

Edit: Added WCUSA information. Also added a link to the member rewards page.

They also upped the number of free tickets for platinum to 4. Two in the summer months now.
