It has been a chaotic day but before I ditch my desktop for the weekend, I wanted to post this show schedule pamphlet from the 70s. I haven't done enough work with it yet to figure out an exact year of origin, but someone probably could some research. The bottom left corner of the first page says "7/1 - 8/29/ B." I assume these are the dates the show schedule is valid for. Not sure what to make of the "B." Any ideas?

That was as early as 1976 because of Sid and Marty Kroft and Das Festhaus.
I'd agree it was 1976 as "Once Upon a Dragon" opened in 1977 per a Bill Baird website -
"1977-1978 - Baird created the music and lyrics for “Once Upon a Dragon” which opened in the 1500 seat house at Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, Virginia."

My latest antique shop jewel. A 1980 park brochure announcing their newest nation of Italy. Soak up the pictures, descriptions, shows, characters, trade shops, stores, defunct rides, street performers, two-day and night tickets options, prices, and hours.

Noting Beefeater, knight, bagpiper, La Jolie Plume Bird Circus, Tintype Shop, blacksmith, trees, Glissade, Das Katzchen, Die Schwartze Spinne, a life-sized gingerbread house, trees, the Reaissance Flagmen of Sansepolcro, petting zoo, trees, the new Grimm's Hollow . . . in other words, "The Best of Europe"!

I wish Europe was still awaiting me. Anyway...

I really like the folding design. Hard to tell from scans. It opens to 2 panels, then to 4 panels, then folds down for the full reveal while using the same "Discover the Best Of Europe!" title at top.

I'm posting this here in hopes that someone can help me. Back around 1994-1995 (not sure of exact year) BGW made a promotional/souvenir VHS that was sold in the park. My family and I were in the video, and we had a copy that got misplaced over the years. I'd love to get my hands on another copy, or find a digital version online if anyone knows where I can find it.

This was my first ever post on ParkFans, and I'm glad to say I finally found a digital version of this video! The director of the video was the father of one of my brother's friends, and he was kind enough to invite my family to participate. We filmed all morning/early afternoon, then got to enjoy the rest of the day at the park. I was 11-12 at the time so I'm mostly in the background, but I am in the Festhaus scene and in the shop in Rhinefeld. The couple leaving Tweedside Gifts and looking at Christmas ornaments in Rhinefeld are my parents, and the kid looking in the stein is my older brother.

My best recollection from the shoot was the Festhaus scene - the Burgermeister came over and sang by the table, and we were all instructed to lift our drinks and sway with the music. My dad - being rhythmically challenged - swayed the opposite direction as the rest of the table on every single take. You can see the final result in the video -my family joked with him for YEARS about it. Unfortunately my dad recently passed away from cancer, but this video brought up all sorts of great memories of him and I'd like to think he somehow had a hand in me finding it.

Also, the graphics reminded me of just how long ago 1994 actually was...

Great memories in that video! Although they could have saved most of the time spent talking about Drachen Fire by cutting their spiel down to “This thing’s gonna hurt.”

I was one of those kids that would keep riding if nobody was waiting at the station - I think my record was 27 times in 1 day. I'm sure grown-up me would have a much different opinion of Drachen Fire if I rode it today.

"pursuit of uncompromising quality" how times have changed.. I Wish I could get in a time machine and stop InBev from hostily taking over Anheuser-Busch. If it wasn't for them, the park would still be in good hands most likely.
