It stops every so often to refill the water right? But other than that I cant think of a reason unless they want to fill the seats before moving on since they know it will be 35 minutes until they are back there again. Used to be faster in the past for sure

They are definitely crawling..I was thinking to myself as it went that I could walk faster. So they are only doing one train today..I bet it is due to employee shortages

One of the conductors told me that was the reason when I asked over the weekend.

Last time I was there, I noticed that the train just sat in the station for around 6-7 minutes while there was one train.

Is there any reason for this?
Which station? It always stops for about this long at Caribou to refill the tanks.

I've sat at festa a good time while they were adding an additional train. They have to get the new train onto the tracks and then load and clear Caribou before leaving feast to allow equal distance between the trains. Other than that I have waited for animals being transferred also.

Also, if there is any sort of event occurring BOH Germany/Octoberfest the trains are held as vehicles have to cross the tracks on Camp Wallace Rd. behind Invadr. Not saying this was the reason behind the (above) event, but it does happen. If it's medical, they'll wait until the EMT's depart. So I was told by friends there.

Yes. Anytime emergency personnel are on site the trains hold in the station until they are off site. If they ever make that announcement you probably should get off as it can be quite a while. Once someone passed out from heat and it was over 45 minutes from the time EMS arrived onsite, got to the patient, assessed them and made it off site.

It would be different if the staff was providing info about an unusual or extraneous delay... my issue was that they were not providing any information at all. I'm used to receiving updates for arrival times or announcements of a delay for whatever reason. They acted as if this was the new normal.

Any updates on the Blue Train? Have they painted the lines or added the Crown Royal logo on the tender

According to station personnel the train has been waiting for clearance from Caribou for 50 minutes now and there is no estimate when they will leave.....how long can they sit before running out of water?

They can wait indefinitely. When idling, they aren't actually generating steam. That's why that take a few minutes to get going once they get a green to go.

Well that's a bit frustrating.. I've complained about long waits before and the park doesn't care (unlike the Tampa one)

As stated numerous times in this thread. There are a number of reasons that they will hold a train and many of those reasons they won't publicize.

There could have been a medical situation, or some construction traffic, or something they needed to inspect on the track.

We also completely stopped twice more before getting to Caribou.

Engineers don't get out unless there are questions about the track.

Ah, they must have some sort of safety sensor up front.

None....most likely they saw it swing when the made the curve out of Festa, they look, and at night it’s the reason they shine flashlights down the side of the train. They have reflective tags on the latches.
