When we were there Sunday it really looks like they havent done much since it arrived back at the park. The backside of the boiler inside the engineers area still looks bare....at least what I could see of it.

You must have had the same guy giving stats we had on Sunday.....he went non stop between Festa and Caribou with numbers and info on who and when the trains were built.

Possibly but it was more in the form of explaining the decent wait we had in Caribou while they refilled it. There is a guy who has been there for a long time that has deep passion for the park and it's history that likes yo go on and on about it durring the trip. I actually find him very entertaining even if he is wrong on stuff sometimes. Actually from somke of what that guy gas said he might be reading these forums if so thank you.

I know the refilling is done....but....they use that as a excuse. Sunday we were in Carfibou station almost 15 minutes. After about the first 5 I started looking to see if they were and nope. We just say there...waiting. We were on the red train and it was the only one running.

I find that timeline almost impossible given what it currently looks like compared to the controll’s of the red train that need to be installed. Then i’m sure it has to go through quite a bit of testing.

Yes but all that work is much more easily performed while the park is closed. I think you could see a lot of progress being made next week.

The Blue train is in a backstage area out of view of guests. There is no reason they can’t be working while the park is open. The piping and such as well as the electrical stuff is pretty specialized, don’t think you can run to Hone Fepot and pick up most of the parts.

I don't think it is entirely out of view..I could see it when we were pulling into the Caribou station. Still, I doubt any guests would care if they were working on it during the day

True, you can barely see it but it’s for a split second and you have to be looking for it.

I think the issue might be staffing on days the park is open maintenance shifts. There are only so many maintenance personnel and they are just simply needed elsewhere. Add in the Pompeii situation which I understand is the priority for the park at the moment and it's fairly easy to see where they might not be able to work on it at the moment.

But with food and wine coming and work that’s needed on the booths if the holdup on the train is the maintenance people I don’t see them getting time soon.

I think F&W maintenance people are different than what's required for the train. F&W is more construction maintenance versus more specific technical for the train. Usually large companies have dedicated maintenance personnel for construction and basic electrical, technical (computer based running cable and wifi etc.) and specialized i.e. the train ans ride ops.

I would actually think that not even BGW people could work on something like the piping for the train, thats a pretty specialized trade and if not done right could cause some significant injuries. I really thought that when it returned from Tweetsie (if thts corect where it was repaired) that it would have had all the boiler and stream piping completed by people that do that day after day.

Appears the train is having technical problems. Waited at Tweedside and employee said it is at Caribou but is not leaving and no estimate when will be underway.

This is 100% correct. BGW has dedicated people that do all of these things. The people who will be building kiosks and then painting them are very different from the people who work on the trains.

BGW certainly has people who are qualified and capable of doing work on the trains. Otherwise they would be down a lot more. These people however are busy with the doing the checks on the operating trains and keeping them running. They will have more time beginning next week.

It is possible that they could be having an outside contractor come in. This again would probably wait until they are closed during the week so that they don't have to worry about them being in guest view.
