So, what was the reason for replacing the France entrance/train crossing (just a little loss on the first and second posts)? I know that they need to replace ties or rails due to wear and tear from normal use, which this is normal maintenance that is done on railroad.

I don't know either but perhaps it is just the ties and rails. But it could also be the posts, you never know, they may replace them just for the fun of it. The park has done other unnecessary work before.

I can promise that the rails nor ties would need repairing due to wear at this time. That is all a part of the beauty of railways and BGW's might be a smaller scale than cargo and mass transit lines but the material standards are still same par standard. The ties underneath the covering could be victim of premature rotting due to the dark and damp conditions underneath. I see the covering as needing repair three to four times before the ties underneath would.

I just finished a major rewrite of the Steam Trains article. Take a look!

It is, if you look at the 1983 park map, New France is listed as "Trappers' Village" for the Hamlet name.
I was referring to the "furthest point in the park from the park entrance" part, but it looks like it's been edited...so nevermind. 
A few corrections ad additions for you (the wiki is not cooperating with my computer today, otherwise, I would change it myself) 1. The track is 1.5 miles long, not 2.5... 2. Red and Blue trains have five coaches, not six... 3. Green train has 3 coaches and a caboose, not 4 coaches... 4. When Green train was sent to Tweetsie RR, it was originally an oil burner and was converted to propane like the other trains... Just some things to correct/add on the trains page

I once saw motion sensors by the track next to the Skyride station in England. What are those for?
The green train is usually saved for the most packed of days, the only other times it's used is when red or blue need maintenance, and even that is a rare event (running green in 2 train op not the maintenance).
