It seems much more likely to me that they would shut down a stop before they would add people and the additional expense of a train. That is generally how BGW thinks.
I definitely think they would not stop in lower attendance brackets. My point is that with 4 stations they would lower the attendance bracket that requires 3 trains hence they would use 3 more often. I just outlined how BGW plans out their train usage and what the ultimate goal is behind the number they are using.

Looking at the Google map for that area, it apprears to not be as simple as laying track into the maintenance zone from the other end - they'd have to tear out the existing backstage area and rebuild it to go the other way including any and all road access to the tracks.

Assuming that's the case, then I guess it's just as unlikely as the regrade I previously suggested.

So, how much mass would need to be removed from AE so it could move from a dead stop in the proposed section?

Also, what is the probability of having a train station at the back of the Festhaus serving straight into the Festhaus, FHP and the current catering area? Thinking slimmer than FHP servicing a new hamlet...
The rain should be able to back into the maintenance area in theory so I do really see the issue.

I could see that helping when adding trains, sending them to Festa directly from Caribou without as much of a wait for a train to back up, but would that screw up timing and blocking?

While it could back into the maintaince area nothing about the operation of the train is set up for reverse operation. The covered areas of Caribou would not cover the trains, they would be sitting far away from where they work on them currently, the signaling system would be backwards, sensors off, not saying it couldnt be done but basiclly theonly thing that wuldnt need to be redone would be the actual rails and crossties.

Yup, essentially you would have to remove all the cars from the train just to service it, which it isn’t setup for. Completely redoing the back area near caribou would be more likely, but at that point, you might as well tear up and regrade the area for the Station in fp.

As I sit here in an unending wait for the next train to arrive in the station, I'm pondering when they will put that train back in service

I had that problem yesterday. It was preposterous. I gave up and left after waiting 25 minutes without an update from the staff.

The round trip used to be 20 minutes. The last few times I've been at the park, the round trip has been at least double that. Sometimes seemingly closer to triple that. I don't know what is going on, but it is completely and totally unacceptable IMO.

I finally did get in the train and I noticed 2 parked at Caribou so I guess they are only running 1 train (or 2 if they have 4)

It seems like that everywhere...all rides are running low capacity mode

They have three trains total.

I've only seen two trains running once so far this year and even then waits were atrocious.

These are the guest experience cuts we've long been worried about. ?

They have 3 trains. But one caught on fire last year. It recently came back to the park but still has touch-up work etc to do before it's operational.

I'm not into trains nor know zip about boilers. But could the reduction in speed be some sort of safety measure as a result of last year's accident? Or are they running at "normal" speed between stations and it's just taking ride ops forever to load?

They are definitely crawling..I was thinking to myself as it went that I could walk faster. So they are only doing one train today..I bet it is due to employee shortages

The slower trains give you more time to photograph MMXX and FF?

Last time I was there, I noticed that the train just sat in the station for around 6-7 minutes while there was one train.

Is there any reason for this?

Two reasons:
First, of course, to give passengers time to get off/on.
Second, they have to stoke the boiler and rebuild pressure before they can roll again.
