Train maintenance like this is standard this time of year.
The trains are being removed. You can tell based on the lack up expansion since Festa was built and additions since Alpie. Clearly the park wants to use the bridges for other things. In fact my source tells me that project Madrid will use use at least one for part of the track!

I wouldn't doubt that the park would want to target both the train and Rhine river cruise. Following Le Mans, they're probably are the most expensive energy users per guest.
That said, I hope not. I like the trains.
I don't see the lack of expansion as that strong of an indicator though. Where would they expand? It is transportation as well as a ride, so it has to make sense. The only thing that would have since Festa is maybe Festhaus Park, which kinda is an unofficial stop anyway. I view the lack of real station there is more reflective of Drachen's failure than the train. There's no hamlet there; who knows if there may be today if Drachen had been successful? If "Madrid" is successful and provides a hamlet opportunity north or south of the river, it could make sense, especially when you think of pedestrian circulation and how people would get to and from a hamlet in those areas.
I could see them maybe reusing the main Rhine river trestle, but the other infrastructure I think would be removed. I see the trestle reuse as perhaps creative frugality, not a main driver, i.e. I doubt the park is thinking they need a bridge but it is such a cost that they'd rather shutter the train and reuse a bridge designed for the width of a train than build a new bridge.
