I can confirm that, a close friend who works at the park told me that they are working on the engine which at.the moment consists taking it apart and seeing what can fixed or replaced. the park is also working to get in contact with original manufacturer and fly them down to see what they can do to get it running again.

I was under the impression that the original manufacturer was no longer in existence.

As @trirrfan9101 stated - from Wikipedia and Tweetsie RR (which looks likea cool place to visit)

"Crown Metal Products was shut down in 1989, with all remaining orders fulfilled by 1990.

(The founder's) son, Bert Williams, continued to support the Crown locomotives, providing replacement parts and service through his company, Castle Ridge Products of Claysville, Pennsylvania, until 2004, when the necessary tooling and machinery was donated to the Tweetsie Railroad, who currently handles the restoration and service of the engines."

Tweetsie Railroad® is located on Highway 321 between Boone and Blowing Rock, North Carolina.

A couple of pictures of the fence for the CT light display. The first one has screen attached to the frame. Kind of hard to see. Not sure if this was up or visible from pics others have posted. The second picture is looking out (peeking through the trees) from the Festa Station left entrance/exit.

Edit: Forgot to add a third picture which is looking down from the Aquatine crossing showing the globe lights.

I got a great view of the trains from Invadr last night. Only the front of the Balmoral Castle's engine was covered by the tarp. The front half of the tender was badly burned. It was a rusty brown color and it looked as if some of the metal was missing. The very back of the engine had the same rusty brown coloring, but most of the damage was in the front of the tender.

One or two of the Balmoral's passenger cars has been added onto the Der Hochbeinige and the Alpen Express. What an odd sight to see a blue car at the end of a red or green train. Both of those trains were decked out in christmas lights, including the blue cars. It seems obvious that those two extended trains will be the only ones used during Christmas Town.

Here's a photo taken from the Invadr queue line. One blue car was added onto Der Hochbeinige (red train) and two blue cars were added onto Aplen Express (green train). The Christmas lights are on those extra cars. That would indicate they will remain like that for Christmas Town and not were not just in those spots temporarily. The other blue cars had no Christmas lights and were on the rear track along with the Balmoral Castle (blue) engine and tender. I didn't notice whether or not the cars were attached to the tender.

When I looked on Saturday the engine and tender on Alpen and Der Hoch were separated from the cars

Some pictures of the blue cars from the Balmore Castle train added to the end of the Alpen Express and Der Hochbeinige trains plus a couple of misc pictures. I went on the train ride and I enjoyed it. The were too many of the ball light strands on those "fences" that changed colors but they were OK. We had to stop a little before the station as the green train hadn't departed yet. From what I could tell this was a normal occurrence.
