Contrary to the popular belief, Alpen usually tends to handle the uphill easier.

Then what's the whole thing about not being able to re-start easily up the hill next to FHP? Or was that something else going on

I’m honestly not sure where it came from. I guess one day one of the bigger trains had trouble and everyone assumed since Alpen is smaller it would have even more trouble. The only train I ever saw not make the hill (outside of operator error) was red.

Stopping on that hill, and then restarting requires the train to back pretty much back all the way to pantheon to get past the hill. I was on the train once when the engineers didn’t throttle at the right time and as such it failed to make it up the hill. They backed all the way up to pantheon, where it was just the engine on the bridge, and full throttled the train to make it up the hill.

On the Train in Festa. We are holding for a “Medical Emergency”. I’m assuming for an ambulance to cross a road we would travel over

Yep, from what I understand, no trains can move while there is a medical emergency ongoing inside the railroad loop due to the possible need for an abundance to move in or out of the loop.
Bingo. If emergency personnel are required on site to respond to an emergency, depending on the location of the issue the train may or may not have to stop operation. The only areas that can have an issue and not require trains to stop operation wild reserve-England/scotland, Forest of Fun, and Festa.

Don't know if anyone else noticed but they took out that turnstile to the entrance of the waiting area for Caribou Station. A simple change but a smart one as it's hard to say how much they actually used the count data from it.

Tweedside still had a turnstile on Saturday, but I think you can enter through the gift shop now so it doesn’t matter
You're correct in that you have to enter through the gift shop. There's a sign up on the front corner of the building saying to do this.

Random thought while on the train tonight... has the train ever broken down? If it has and got to the point where passengers have to walk god knows how far depending where. Has it?

Yes. A few times it's gotten stuck on the stretch from Festa to Caribou on the uphill side of the bridge by Drachen Fire. Usually with a little sand, it'll get itself moving slowly but sometimes if it takes too long they'll escort guests to the nearest pathway, just like any ride.

It has derailed with guests before! Memory is foggy, but I believe an axel snapped with guests aboard years ago? There's also the infamous explosion, but that happened with a train that was not in-service.
