RE: Concerts 2013

Well, technically that concert is still "To Be Determined." It's to be determined whether or not he will be in jail/unable to perform. Really all concerts are TBD :p

So I called to cancel those tickets, but according to them Billy Currington's people haven't canceled the concert yet. Maybe the BGW Facebook people are jumping the gun on it.

He was removed from their site and I doubt they would remove him unless they were almost positive he wouldn't be able to play. They probably will still promote Billy until they can find someone else to take his place. Also, they could have said that just so they wouldn't have to refund your money ;)

RE: Concerts 2013

No they genuinely had no idea. She was ready to refund me.

Remember these people on the phone are in Orlando.

Yeah, they know nothing, lol, they told me tickets didn't go on sale yet when they already went on sale previously years back.

Mr. Roboto? Por favor...

They didn't play it for some reason :(, still fun though!

The reason they didn't play Mr. Roboto is because Dennis DeYoung is not a member of STYX any longer. I was disappointed also when I saw them last back in 2003. They play everything else BUT that song in their catalog. No matter. Ya'll are gonna have some FUN!! :)

RE: Concerts 2013

Well- I heard the commercial today for the Styx concert at the park and they played Mr. Roboto on the air. If they don't play it- it would kinda be false advertising. Still, I would be happy either way... I love their music.

RE: Concerts 2013

So I did end up getting a call from BGW. The Billy Currington concert has been cancelled and they refunded my money.

I just noticed that no pictures were posted of the concert so here's some. I really enjoyed it. About the only songs they didn't play that I wanted to hear were Mr. Roboto and Babe.

They won't ever play Mr Roboto so long as Dennis DeYoung isn't in the band. He owns the rights to that one. They didn't sing it when I saw them along w/Journey & REO Speedwagon back in 2003.

I don't know if any of y'all went to see Scotty, but he was very good! A lot more people than I had expected to be there, I also got his autograph ;)

Here's some more pictures to go with what Chickenking posted. It was a better "show" than what Styx was but Styx was definitely better musically. I don't know if the person running the sound board could hear everything OK but you could hardly hear any of the drummer's drums except for his kick drum and his cymbals were almost non-existent. Also the guitar player was very hard to hear what he was playing even thought you could see him doing some good stuff. That's not to say I didn't enjoy the music as I did. I just thought it wasn't mixed very well.

Edit: Added the three pictures from below and removed it.
