Wait until the pollen comes . . .

Actually, keep in mind the park just filled for new bulkheads, I am assuming this means they are redoing the docks as well. With that said, they would still need to keep the river level low until all construction is finished.

As was pointed out by Zach, some nice photo are to be had from those new extensions. But these aren't even the best ones to be had...

The Grimm's Landung sign is back on both sides of the bridge. It has been decided that the Grimm's Landung is the name of the bridge and the park has incorrectly misused the word landung.

Decided by whom?

I had a conversation with some others who agree that the word is being misused, but agree that is the name of the bridge. It is not an official decision, just a mere connection of observations and deductions is all. Feel free to decide any other way on the topic.

LOVE the new bridge! As far as painting/staining...I believe if it's pressure-treated wood they use, it needs some time to age a bit before using those type of products on it (I could be wrong).

Are the lights solar-powered or something?

One thing I'd LOVE to see are a couple/few small-ish benches in those outcroppings. It would be nice to sit down there and just rest and take everything in.

Other than that, very nice! The lights are a very nice touch.

Glad it's not solar. Hardwired will provide brighter and more consistent light. And like PR said: less headaches.

Solar lights can all be wired to a solar panel or the source of it's power and when it turns on and off and those wires can also be found in electric conduits. There are some sight lights in the park that are solar powered, yet still have wires that go through electric conduits. You can not necessarily tell if they are solar just by looking at them, I'd have to talk to a few people to find out for certain.

While they could be solar powered, I feel as though they aren't. The lights just seem unusually bright for being solar powered, then again they are LED lights.

I doubt they are solar powered. I've heard it can be a pain sometimes to maintain.

Some pictures posted earlier of the new lights on heart attack hill showed electric conduits coming out of the ground and going through the poles to the lights. I would guess they are hard wired. I would assume a similar system exists at the bridge on the outside of the bridge keeping the conduits out of sight.
