As irritating as the biometric system is, I'd hate to add metal detectors too. The wait to get in would be awful.

Makes me wonder if they will reinstall the metal detectors like they once had installed back just after 9/11. Personally I hope note..

Or even worse if it would turn in to like going on an airliner with BGW's own version of the TSA.. talk about back up's at the entrance.

Just seen on a local TV newscast who reported that a park employee found the bomb threat note in the bathrooms by the park entrance. Nothing was mentioned about what was on the note.

So, Zach, Tony, and I just left. Banbury has finally been reopened.

Y'all know that tend not to be very down on the park. What happened today, however, seriously blows my mind. There was a general bomb threat against BGW. Instead of evacuating the entire park, they chose to close one hamlet. We literally wandered around the rest of BGW for three hours, while they randomly searched BC. I still have no reason to believe that the park is safe. For all we know the Festhaus could be blown up later today.

I think the BGW management's decision to remain open and to continue to allow guests into the park was seriously irresponsible. It feels as if they put money above the safety of their guests and staff.

They wrote with marker on the actual stall.

Interesting, but smart way to do it as it eliminates the paper and any possible fingerprints to be pulled from it. Of course if they left any on/in the stall that's another question but there's probably a lot of prints there which would make it hard to determine who the culprit is.

Security was the first ones to see it and report it quickly just after 3:30. Not sure how long it had been there but it must have been there a few hours.

WAVY is reporting live now from the park. They're saying the police confirmed there was no bomb found but they are gonna hang around in case anymore developments occur.

How would they know if there is a bomb? They only searched the entrance, BC, and Sesame.

I think they handled it terribly. They made no effort to protect the guests and staff, and they continued to allow people to enter the park. In addition, we were hanging out only a few feet from BC, so closing that hamlet hardly made anyone more safe. I am seriously disgusted.

It would take days to search the whole park. I think they handled this very well. They clearly worked directly with both JCC police and state police. So my guess is with their best judgement from all parties involved they deemed this threat minimal and felt it was safe enough to continue operations while doing safety checks in the questionable areas.
