I wondered by Blood Banquet on one of my trips round the park and was quite entertained. I plan to try it myself soon. As I was taking the below photo she told me something along the lines of You can take a photo but I may not show up. :p

I have a lot of Blood Banquet pictures to share sometime soon (a full post perhaps?), but I'll toss out two now as teasers.

The man, the myth, the legend: Count Vlad.

These two are absolutely fantastic. There's an awesome dynamic they have going between the two of them that is captured perfectly by this picture.

I'm still not sure you people realize how much I adore Blood Banquet. I'd go back to the park just for this.

I also agree with PK and Zachary. Everything about the banquet was something the park has needed for a very long time.

The food, atmosphere, and entertainment was superb and a great value.

I adore the actor who plays Count Vlad. When he hopped over someone's dropped cupcake and said "Clean up on aisle 5!" I pretty much lost it.

I've added photos on the Howl-O-Scream album here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.231640216989498.1073741846.149401725213348&type=3 Scroll to the bottom.

Yes, these two were awesome, they didn't get much attention but they had this great thing going on between the two of them. One of them even passed us before hand and was still in character for it. THIS is the charm that the park needs but has been struggling to maintain.

Now I'm just playing devil's advocate here...

Think of it as a 20 or 25 minute IllumiNights show that you can pay to be put into the middle of.

...but did Illuminights really set a bar?

I realize that not everything will appeal to everybody, but to me, this is the epitome of Scott Gasparich cheese that turns me right off.

I can see that, some aspects of the act did fall fall on it's face. Scott does have a certain style and while a majority of the time it's pretty bad, when he hits something, it can be fantastic. This does have a lot of charm put into it, more so than any thing else in this event. And yes, I fully admit just how bad the park has gotten when something like this is the best thing the park has to offer for the event.

I don't think this has been mentioned, but the inside if the building is probably the best decorated part, it looks fantastic.

I agree too Zachary I did It on Saturday was well worth the money, the food is good, the atmosphere, and of course Vlad. I got really tickled that my fave violin player was there and she game right up to or table. I m anticipating on doing it again, soon as I get pics from my friend I will post. To bad that we all couldn't do it together for an honor for the BGWFANS page

I would have appreciated knowing when the shows start. it looked to start every hour and run for about half an hour or so. The daughter cracked me up. We were getting our plates and she ran up to us and asked us if we play Fruit Bat on the phone, and told us that Angry Bats was so old.

The outfits are awesome. And obviously you guys were not paying attention. It's not Count Vlad.

It's Count Vladtastic!

Oh yea, definitely all cheese, but I enjoy bad jokes.

Yes, but the actors interact with the guests

<SHUDDER>

That is exactly why someone like me should never attend something like this. I like that wall between performers and the audience. Plus, I hate being the center of attention without a dress rehearsal. I tried to arrange my wedding so no one would notice me.

But how did you guys feel about all of the onlookers watching you eat? I might feel a little uncomfortable about that. While I was watching some of the show, I could feel people thinking, "Why is that big guy leering at us?" :p

EDIT:
I was watching the show as a non-diner; meaning I was just one of the onlookers outside the fence.

Oh man. Even worse. I can't eat at buffets at all, because of this. That scene from Gone With the Wind just echos through my mind.
