Doesn’t BGW and most other parks use a 1/4 system? Only 1/4th of the train can be loaded with QQ folks. I thought this was how it worked at the park. I know Cedar Fair uses the system.

Ratios at BGW are typically far less than 1/4th, but if QQ lines get particularly long, the park will occasionally dedicate an entire dispatch to QuickQueue in order to moderate the QQ wait.

It varies from ride to ride. Some rides have dedicated rows for QQ and you wait in line for that row. If the line is really long they will just fill the whole train. Other rides you go through the QQ entrance and they add you into the general line at a certain point.

Don’t remind me, Fastlane Operator at Volcano during Haunt was the worst place to be. Especially when they did the Fastlane giveaway for pass renewals. Both lines got so long they started at Scrambler.

This was my point with the QQs.....I have a stack of them since people that had no interest in riding gave them to me.

The thing is, regardless of then giving away Fastlane, Volcano would have an extremely long line anyways. During Haunt the wait would hit over 3 hours easy for the regular line, and 45 minutes to an hour for Fastlane. Volcano was an insanely low capacity ride (560 riders per hour on a good day) that was crazy popular. Part of that was it’s uniqueness, the other part was that unless you’ve ridden it before you honestly did not know how long the line really was.

I'm interested in getting a Platinum membership at this price. Can I do that if I'm still within the first 12 months of my Unlimited?

As far as I know, no. We were told that the sale was only avaliable online and could not be honored in person or over the phone. As always though, YMMV and it's probably not a bad idea to ask anyway.

I changed my pass from Legacy Premier to Platinum over the phone with them this week and got the Black Friday pricing. I did mention it to them, so I don't know if that makes a difference.

Thanks. I'll post what happens if I end up calling. So with the Platinum would I be able to use a guest ticket at Tampa if my home park is Williamsburg?

No the guest tickets are only valid at your home park in Williamsburg.

I had a unlimited membership I got in February with 12 month EZ Pay, and they allowed me to upgrade to Platinum over the phone with the Black Friday sale. They did make me restart the 12 month commitment with the new membership level, but that just means a guaranteed pricing for the next 12 months. I also mentioned the Black Friday sale and got that pricing too, so that may be the key to doing the switch on the phone.

They actually let me do the same thing in person. I went to guest services ready to buy it on my phone but the lady upgraded me right there. I was only a month or so into my premeir pass too, I think I actually pay slightly less monthly now with the deal.

Is this deal something they do typically? In other words is it reasonable to assume they might do this next year too?

That's what I'm hoping for exactly. There was a Black Friday sale last year too so there is a bit of a pattern now. Hopefully it keeps up!

So how do I see what I'm currently paying for plan? I have 2 2-park unlimited memberships and 1 2-park premier, and my total EZpay is $50/month. I assume it's $15 for the unlimited and $20 for the premier? I haven't made any changes since the initial pass holder switch to membership. I wanted to switch to the Platinum, but keep the other unlimited passes. Could I save more money by cancelling and re-ordering those too?
