My new non coaster favorite is the tempasta flat. ;) Skyride would be next (Germany to England if I were to be segment specific).

Especially when you get stuck up there.
Actually that is one of my favorite things to happen there. The ride feels a bit short, to me, for being an observation ride. So I enjoy the rare times it stops and I can take some random pictures.

I have said this before, but I really wish they could make the RRC a transport ride. I think a lot of people never experience it at all, and I agree: it is a pretty and unique view of the park. If it could be used to travel to and from Festa, more people might discover how lovely it is, while providing a useful service. Of course, that might overtax capacity...

I'm having trouble choosing just one because my opinion changes so often. Most of my favorites are too short in duration. Those are mostly the rides in San Marco. However, I do think Der Wirbelwind is a decent ride length. I could go to sleep on it, but somehow I don't mean that in a bad way.

I would say Da Vinchi's Cradle is my favorite, but that ride has been toned down/shortened too much to be worth the wait. Hopefully the new restaurant and restrooms can make up for the lack of satisfying flats in Italy.

I will say though, Busch Gardens Williamsburg is far from having the worst lineup of flats. On the other hand, when I go to Tampa, I can forgive BGW for where they are lacking in flats.

^It's sortta like the kiddie thing you find in a mall, and put in a few quarters.
Seriously though, that is the only thing I could come up with if somebody came up to me and said "Quick! Say something negative about BGT." That doesn't mean I love one over the other (BGW or BGT).

Once upon a time I would have said the Flying Machine, but speed is not its thing any more. I would have to say Da Vinchi's Cradle .

DaVinci's Cradle has become too weak in recent years... It's kinda ruined actually. My favorite has to be Trade Winds; it's perfect, especially when it's dark with nothing but the red lights on. :aww:

Here is my Top five

1st- Curse at Darkastle
2nd- Escape From Pompeii
3rd- Da Vinci's Cradle
4th- Le Scoot Log Flume
5th- Battering Ram

DaVinci's Cradle is supposedly a maintenance nightmare all due to the mechanism that is supposed to stop it at the top and allow it to teeter-totter. I don't know if they have since reprogrammed the ride cycle, or if they simply switched the mode which it runs on.

As far as The Tradewind and Le Catapult- I like those rides, but only if a friend wants to ride it. Spinney rides don't get to me in any way unless they branch out (awesome). Tradewind however, due to centrifugal force, makes the rider on the inside fall on the outside rider. I don't prefer that one aspect. If anything, I always sit on the outside so I don't fall against someone.

Also, Thomas, are you saying that the Flying Machine once went faster? I don't doubt you, but I always found that ride to be relaxing and fun, but with no "intense adrenaline".
If it ever did go fast however, I guess I can understand the removal of Die Schwarze Spinne. It seems like that could get redundant.

I would swear the Flying Machine used to go higher and faster. I remember it's ending up perpendicular to the ground. At some point they dumbed it down...or I am imagining things...

I know it goes slower than it used to, but I think the height is the same iirc.

Regarding Da Vinci's Cradle, the adjustments they have made were in an attempt to improve maintenance. There are some years that it almost seemed to be down for more time than it was up. I believe also there were several incidents where it actually got stuck at the stand-still position at the top while it was testing, and could you imagine the press nightmare that would be if it got stuck with people on it? I believe it's ride cycle definitely changed for maintenance and safety reasons.

We really only know about flat ride program downgrades because of first-hand accounts. I know the ride model is designed to run much, much faster and higher than Flying Machine does.

Le Scoot. It's a great combination of relaxing, enjoying the ride through the forest, and then a nice adrenaline rush at the end. And, it's nicely designed so you (usually) get a refreshing splash of water without getting your clothing uncomfortably soaked.

Wait, does Tempesto count for this question?

You're not imagining it.

It absolutely did run much higher and faster than it used to. The way it runs now is probably less than half of the potential speed the ride can go. I don't even bother riding it anymore.

How long ago did they slow it up?
