So, we have our thread for the best roller coaster, but I'm sure you have a favorite ride that's not a coaster.

If Katapult was still indoors it would have my vote, but I'm going to have to go with Trade Wind. It's got good speed and motion wihout being disorienting. Roman Rapids would have had my vote if I went on water rides anymore.

DarKastle is good, but I like the old fashioned TW better. What's your favorite?

My vote goes for DarKastle. I'd put many of KD's flats over DarKastle though (a.k.a. The Crypt).

They have other rides? :D

DarKastle is good, but can get a bit repetitive. I love the Flying Machine in Italy. But my favorite is probably the swings. Yes, very basic, but so much fun. Makes me feel like a kid again.

Roman Rapids are always a lot of fun but the line is always crazy long and it takes away a lot of the fun of the ride so i would have to say that the davinchi gardens as a whole is the best flat ride at busch

Just like Chris, I did enjoy the Katipult (used to be the Catapult) when it was in Hastings.. a true fun adventure. The Blitzschneller was cool when it was up and running; but as of today, of the current rides running, I would have to say I enjoy the Train...maybe because I have the whole speech memorized. I enjoy the quiet roaming view of the entire park..and it is great on rainy days to pass the time.

That's a good point, I didn't even think of the train. I'm changing my vote!

The train is a good pull, and as far as kcracken's choice, I can remember a time when the swings were actually my number one seed. I haven't been on them in a while, but I'm willing to bet It'd be as much fun as it ever was.

If you don't wear it out too many times in one visit, DarKastle is probably my favorite, right next to CorkScrew Hill. I only go during Howl-O-Scream so I haven't been on Pompeii, Roman Rapids, and Le Scoot in years.

Wings,

You know, the older I get the less fun I have in getting soaked on water rides. I still like the Log Flume though, and I do like to watch folks on Roman Rapids and of course laugh at those poor saps who really do NOT want to get wet, yet someone dragged them on it despite their protests.

Best no coaster ride ffor me is Davinci's cradle. I love how even though you know it's coming somehow your stomach always forgets!

You're not alone in the not wanting to get soaked area. I've only ridden RR once, and we got soaked to the bone. Running around the park with wet socks is not fun. But it is fun watching others go through the same thing. :D

You've just brought second thoughts to me of going on Roman Rapids this weekend.

The Alpine Express or The Balmoral Castle (Not a fan of the shade of red on the red train) - Gotta love the trains! I love them because I get tired walking all over the park and it's a good place to sit and see different scenery. Second to the trains is Da'Vinci's Cradle.

Yeah, it just woudn't be the same without the trolley ride bookending your day at the park. The ride to and from Scotland parking lot is the best, and certainly the easiest lot to get out of.

For a currently running ride I have to go with the train. Always nice to take a break from walking and see the sights while riding.

My runner up choice has to be the old Eagle One monorail to the brewery. Well maybe it wasn't the ride but the destination that made it a favorite of mine.
