I was looking at the parks 2014 brochure and I noticed something. On the shows/shopping/dining Page of the brochure it says stuff about London rocks but it says nothing about a re-theme. And I think if the park was getting a noticeable re-theme the park would've announced it at pass member appreciation weekend and we also would've seen advertisements in the media. For example, during the Oktoberfest renovations we got some concept art and they advertised it a couple  times. We haven't seen anything besides that little press release about the re-themed in England, so I'm just not a believer of it anymore.

They did have a section of a renovation of the hamlet in the press release, which is basically announcing it. The fact that they don't advertise it is just the fault of their marketing department but then again when you are having budget issues, there is only so much you can market that you know won't end up slashed by budget cuts.

Everything entertainment related is always a ton less stable than ride additions and the like. They can cut thematic elements, cancel shows, cut back casts, etc with just weeks to go but a chain like SEAS can't cancel a ride they've paid a manufacturer for after the contract is signed.
This is what I'm thinking on this also.  I'd have to guess that with all of the maintenance/upgrades and changes being done (Le Scoot upgrade, parking spaces, dining deck, floating bridge replacement) that if some of these have gone over budget then either corporate has to cover the overage or it gets taken out of the parks budget.  What isn't known is if they will transfer funds from one divisions budget that has funds to cover another divisions shortfall if corporate won't pick up the tab.  This could just be a situation like this.  Also there's the possibility that if none of the rethemeing work hadn't even started then it would be easy to cancel it and save that money.  Regardless, as BGW Family aptly put it, it's the best worst news that's come out!

Hey, I never said that nothing would happen. What I'm saying is IF something happens it probably won't be catastrophic, And if Scott completely destroys Banbury Cross I'm sure enough people will complain and it might get changed back. So there is still hope :)

The old cotton candy/paper flowers booth has been will be ripped down and the park is building a second Coke Market located between the candy shop and the Emporium paid for entirely by Coca-Cola themselves. This is what happens when the entertainment department runs out of money but still insists on a retheme.

You don't think anything will happen with the firepit, do you? D: I'm sure it's used differently during the seasons but I can't think of what that may be off the top of my head.

I don't believe it's cemented into the ground or anything so I imagine it's safe.
