In my opinion the re-theme probably won't happen. There's been no concept art, they didn't announce it at pass member appreciation weekend and the source was from a newspaper and nowhere else. People lie in newspapers all the time. And if it does happen ( which it might ) it will probably just be some minor adjustments to fit LR but nothing catastrophic like Big Ben being flattened,  etc.

Actually, it came from one of the park's press releases. It wasn't some newspaper article but an official announcement from the park. I doubt they'd lie; however, they did not give any real details as to what the changes were going to be so it can be something really small or rather larger. However, unless we see any permits pop up anytime soon, we will probably only be seeing a paint job if anything.

Sidenote - Its a small victory that I got this gif to work - like I'm freaking out over here

At this point I'm expecting "retheme" to mean "extended signage for LR! on the Globe".  I think the park fully intended to re-theme, but my personal guess is that they ran out of cash.  I guess it could be outcry, but I think the GP has been pretty silent on this issue, and there's a lot more of them than us.

Personally for my wife and myself this may be the make it or break it as far as keeping our season's passes. If it's low key great, if it's obnoxious and in your face totally awful we will visit a few times for our children's sake but we will also be visiting King's Dominion once this year. Then the decision comes where to spend our season pass money for 2015. We drive PAST the the 95 interchange on 295 to come to Busch Gardens. 3 hrs each way is stretching it for a day trip. Just doesn't seem worth it if it continues to decline any further. I truly hate to say that but it is possible we may decide not to renew for next year. (N):'((N)

Banbury Cross renovations are more or less scrapped. Money is all gone. A few things will be changing, but 90% of what was planned to occur is no more. It's great news for Banbury, but it's an awful sign of the status of things inside the gates right now. Be happy that the hamlet will be, more or less, safe, but be terrified about what this means for 2014 on a larger scale.

I think I've learned something. I've known it forever now, but I've finally connected the pieces.

Scott Gasparich is an absolute idiot with money, he has no sense in how to plan a budget, and basically throws money down the drain on stupid things. Same with the marketing department, etc. I'm afraid we have a bunch of ignorant, incompetent people at the helm of our park, and until those positions change, the park will just keep going down the same path.

Examples:

They have enough money to throw what seems to be an expensive celebration for one of the newest parts of the park that absolutely doesn't need it, but they don't have enough money to make general repairs that are desperately needed.

So from now on, anyone who tries to justify the department's mistakes, I will just over-look, because time and time again, no matter how many times we try to justify them, they just end up dissapointing us.
