There is absolutely nothing we know. No concept art, no blueprints, no specific details.

That's pretty much all we know though. We don't know nothing, but we do know a bit, as you can see.

My guess/hope is that it will just be another one of his temporary overlays that will not last very long. Some of you may remember how he did that horrible pastel chalk over the entire Killarney section when Europe in the Air opened. He was told to take that down as soon as Illuminights ended. The same can pretty much be said for France last year. When the renovation started they just had these gaudy banners that most people on this forum complained about. Finally, he sent in the rest of his creative team to fix it. Scott has a habit of doing that with almost every main season overlay.

I am hoping that this one will turn out the same way as those. Yes, it may be painful at first, and the damage is done, but I doubt it will last too long. Remember that he almost always tries a second time with a failed show (Entwined,Frankenrock,The "cartoonish Katy Perry/Lady Gaga" Jack is Back, and many others.) The main difference here is that people are more likely to complain about a village that you have to walk through rather than a show that you can choose to avoid.

There is still hope that this is strictly promotional, and won't last long.

I think we do have some insight into how the retheme will look and feel.

We have seen that train wreck that introduced the new show. There was nothing sophisticated, clever, or charming about that presentation. One pretty much has to assume its feel will inform the entire hamlet.

My personal fear it that the designer seems to believe his audience has no taste.

That was only a presentation for a show. Yes there is a very significant chance the hamlet will turn out similar to the show; however, there is nothing specific about the hamlet itself.

I for one highly doubt extreme bizarre changes. They may seem extreme at first since we aren't used to them, but when you really think about it, they may not be as extreme as they first appear.

That presentation was ruined for me when I saw the stupid projections they tried to connect with the songs. Then I literally had to dig through a million fake flowers to find my things, and then the bus. You're totally right, there was nothing flattering at all about that presentation. I'm fine with "waiting and seeing," but you can't just ignore that it's happening at all. But yes, I totally agree with what you said in this post. I prefer quality over having something new just for the sake of it.

Haunted Lighthouse and Pirates were both there way too long. I've seen those shows enough times to fill a couple lifetimes. I would love to see a new 4D show in the Globe, though, and I still hope they will add one some day.

I always thought that a live Shakespearean show in the Globe would be really cool, though. I know it probably wouldn't appeal to most park goers, but that would be a show that other theme parks just don't have. If high schools can put on decent theatre productions, I'm sure BGW could have a seasonal show that was really good. There would also be a lot of material to use over the course of several seasons.

You know, with all the movies that are big right now and have been big recently like Lord of the Rings, the Hobbit, Snow White and the Huntsman, Oz the Great and Powerful, Maleficent and so on there would be more interest in going for an old world theme in BGW. Pity really. Seems like a real missed opportunity for the park...

I've been silent on this topic lately as it's still too early to bet my reputation on anything plans-wise, but I'll say this:

What Scott wants to do to Banbury is absolutely mortifying and, let me assure you, it's anything but temporary. If Scott gets just a half of what he wants, some paint isn't going to fix the damage he'd like to cause.

Guess who's going to speedwalk through Banbury Cross with a blindfold on? (Hint: It's me!)
