The bus and the phone booths still need to be themed and touched up and there are some additional touches to England that still need to happen prior to the "official" opening on Friday, May 23rd.
I didn't hear about any phone booths.

My guess for bus decals; something like this:

In all honesty, the hamlet doesn't look that bad in CK's picture. If anything, it just looks more festive than usual. To play the devil's advocate here, I sorta like the looks of the village. The bus doesn't really bother me (sort of a clever way to sell merchandise), and the flags give the village a little extra life and vividness.

Still, as self-proclaimed Quality Control Police, I hope the music choice is temporary. Of course it's meant to tie in to the show and get people excited, and I get that. However, Banbury is the "main entrance" hamlet into BGW and should set a proper tone for the park, which is the classy royal music played in the normal season. If the music is eventually swapped, I will be happy. As I said above, that will, instead of altering the area, just make Banbury Cross seem a little more festive than usual; and in all honesty, I welcome that.

Meant to say the "merchandise display" phone booths by the bus.

What in God's name is this? Did they think people would forget they were in England? Do they know that's not an English flag?
Um... I didn't know that. What kind of flag is it?

The Union Jack is the flag of Great Britain. It was designed by combining Scotland's flag with England's flag. England's flag is plain white with a red cross, see the flag icon by any England eatery, attraction, or the hamlet thread.

Everything said and done, I find that many people do not care and that a majority of people assume the Union Jack is the flag of England.

Great Britain is England and Scotland, but the present day Union Jack does not represent Great Britain, The Union Jack is the flag of the United Kingdom. Which essentially is Ireland, Scotland and England. The Union Jack actually combined Ireland's, Scotland's and England's flags.

They took the Scotland flag which is blue with a white "X" on it, England's flag which is a white flag with a Red Cross. And one of the many Ireland flags which is just a blank white flag with a red "X" on it. They put the three over each other, and that's a Union Jack for you.

But I don't think they have used the actual England flag to represent Banbury in a long time, not since I can remember, at least.
