Just what we need...turn Banbury Cross into a real life Peter Max poster.

I just realized something. This most likely is temporary, as Scott has never done something this gaudy and stupid. At least not permanently.
I think when Pirates in 4D came out, they strung up pirate flags like so:

If this is permanent, then I'll scream loudly and weep for weeks, maybe even the rest of my life.

...when they just refurbished the existing paint?

Where'd you here that?
I think it was an earlier page. I recall hearing that they refurbished the paint, meaning they used the same colors and such that was there before. Also, the paint does look quite fresh in the latest pictures, so I'm pretty sure it isn't my imagination.

That was an old HOS scare zone called Piractical Purgatory, in the pictures above. The park would've never done something that stupid during the main season, back then.

I'm almost 99.9% positive the buildings didn't get repainted, unless you can point out that post you were talking about.

To echoe Matthew, those flags were for a pirate-themed scare zone.

The doors to the Globe were painted brown (instead of Elmo blue) last fall to go along with Ripper Row. And I'm happy with them just how they are now, thanks.

Also take note guys, some of the flags are extremely wrapped and tangled around the wire, which is a bit unsightly. It won't look good either if these Union Jacks are setup similarly.

Ah, didn't know. I've only been to HOS once, so I don't really know what they have done over the years.

I'll look for it. Until then, I'll give a recent image of what looks like unusually fresh paint.

That paint is no fresher than it has been in the past. Trust me, if they did paint the buildings, I or someone else on the forum would've pointed it out well before now. May you be confusing it with how the painted some of the stamped concrete?

I do recall it being pointed out a month or two back, but indeed I must have been mistaken because I can't find it. I even remember incorrectly pointing out that new paint would make the buildings look too new.
Very unsettling that I can't find something I remember seeing.

I'm confused. Why would they go to all of the trouble of matching the Coke shop to the current buildings, if they are just going to turn around and paint everything? I hope I am misunderstanding or just missing key information.

That's the first thing I said when I saw the evidence earlier today.
