Hm - I didn't really flinch but yea its gaudy.My thing is it just looks cheap - though for some reason this actually doesn't annoy me as much as the bright blue doors did. I see it staying for this peak season and maybe next. Moving on...(at least I am - I don't expect any of you to though)
Well actually it doesn't look as bad as I had heard...hopefully just a temporary thing...
It looks like it will be that way till howl o scream then back to normal.
I just think it is random. It isn't very "rock n roll." It is more "toddler's bedroom." I get the psychedelic 60s thing, but I don't think they've achieved it, to be honest.
and by temporary...do you mean for the entirety of core? Also you can see the cable that the union jacks will hang from in that picture...
It makes sense -- draw attention to the new show that you've spent a lot of money on, especially when they haven't had a new show in the Globe for a LONG TIME. It's not gorgeous, but it's contained and makes business sense. I'd prefer it NOT be there, but I get it.
Honestly, it wouldn't make sense to paint the Coke Market twice in one week. Logically, this should be limited to the Globe…right?
Eh, not my favorite thing but I don't think it is bad. I get why they did this since they need to draw attention to the show especially since the Globe tends to blend in with the other buildings.
It looks 100% unnecessary. They could've just put up a banner and some signs and they choose to vomit Parkinson's bus all over The Globe. Temporary or not this is a bigger misstep than what they did with Killarney Kommotion.
