Anyway, am I the only one who doesn’t like the tower that much in the first place? It looks pretty enough, but its placement makes that corner leading to and from New France and the heart of Aquitaine a terrible bottleneck during HOS and CT, especially when ‘Twas That Night lets out.
Pepto Bismal tower is horribly placed, but they aren't allowed to remove it.
There's a very lovely portrait of my sister and me in my parents' house that was painted in that tower back in the mid 90s.
Not on me, but I'll take a photo next time I'm in Williamsburg!

Looks like BGW is planning a renovation to the france wine bar (inside la Belle)
They just added tiny gravel to the rocky dirt area next to the Griffon splash zone.
Not sure if that was a good idea since it’s being kicked around by the kids playing in the splash zone and will end up in the pool in no time.
It’s also super dusty right now.

What is the point of that area? Why not just make it a flower bed?
Kids run all over it to escape the splash.

It's No.10 aggregate, often called fines. One real good rain storm is going to wash that down onto the pathway. The should have installed porous pavers. They could absorb rainfall and still be walked on by those dodging the splash.
