Agreed, I rode very back seat today. Pretty much every seat was walk on. Even with my head being pressed back, I still banged my head up a bit.

How likely is Anaconda's removal for 2014 or 2015?

I rode the other day, and it was a complete walk-on. Only about three other rows filled when I got on. Even with the slowest loading I'd see all day (beating that of even Shockwave and Volcano), only a few people trickled in to line up at the gates for the next train. Plus, this was on a day when Grizzly and Rebel Yell's stations were filled, and even Hurler wasn't a walk-on. So sad. As we already knew, the on-ride photo/souvenir room at the end of the ride was gutted so you just walk into an empty little building before you exit. All the electrical pieces were covered completely. Plus, the camera itself is now no longer present in the underwater tunnel, and they no longer blast water cannons as a train goes through. This might be just coincidence, but I thought the water level looked lower than usual in the lake (which is looking really sad lately), and the park seems to be letting the marshy bog portion of the lake go. It's really nasty now, as if they don't care about it. Not to mention the ride is like they took the roughness on Loch Ness Monster and added it to that of Shockwave, which together adds up to be pretty painful. The ride's just no fun anymore, and clearly everyone at the park knows that, too.

These all clue in to what could mean they're starting to take things away so they can remove the ride sometime soon. After all, Busch Gardens took away the fog machines near the Rhine River sometime before the removal of Big Bad Wolf. The thing that throws off the equation is addition of new running rails on portions of the ride. If they were to get rid of it, why add new running rails? Why not just do away with it already?

I could be wrong, but it seems like signs are pointing to the removal of this troubled, quickly-aging ride within the next few seasons. I'm starting to like the idea someone had of putting a flying coaster over the water, but not if B&M couldn't build it. What do you guys think about Anaconda closing, though?

Found a picture online (from Theme Park Review) of Anaconda over the original Lake Charles, 3X larger than it is today. Beautiful!

For some reason, I think Arrow coasters look really pretty over water.

I can't wait to see what's in store for the ride next year: new trains, new paint job (maybe a new color scheme?), lake clean-up? Return of water blasts? I would love to see their approach on this. I've personally never seen a park, let alone a Cedar Fair park, try to improve a classic, aging coaster instead of getting rid of it. Kudos to KD!

I still think trains like this from Vekoma would certainly help.

Let's see what happens!

LAME!!

That's not showing that much love. At least they're not removing it, though.

Well to be truthful, I actually like everything about Anaconda up until the MCBR. After that part is when it becomes unenjoyable.

I have always found the loop and sidewinder as two great elements and they seem to be executed well and don't have too much rattling around.

If you have problems with Anaconda being rough ride in the fourth car. Arrows were designed with the center of gravity around the middle car on the train, so you'll have a noticeably more bearable experience sitting there.

Anaconda is looking better!
