Came across this on Google looking at the park through the years in relation to Anaconda.  How true does this scientific assessment hold up?

Not enough black ink. I would have labeled the whole track "Advil."

I think it's funny - this community bends over backwards to criticize Hurler and Shockwave (when it was standing), yet Anaconda seems to slither by. In my opinion, this is the worst ride at the park within the current roster. I can't wait for them to tear this thing down.

It's an awkward coaster but I don't find it painful by arrow's standards. It certainly is an eye sore, but I'm sure the shorter guests appreciate it.

I didn't use to like Anaconda much, but it was one of the best experiences I had at KD on Saturday, aside from Dominator. I rode it both in the front and back, and it didn't rear my head against the headrest on either ride.

I think height and proportions are both important. I have found that where the restraints hit me, because I am 5'6, but short-waisted, is very different than a lot of taller guys with broader shoulders.

Vekomas in particular don't bother me, but bruise most people I am with. I've discovered Dominator, however, physically assaults me, but is fine for most other people.

I agree with Nicole, I find Anaconda to be a less rough-experience than Dominator (which is probably the roughest B&M I've been on). However, the restraints on Anaconda really shove down on my shoulders. Now just because it isn't rough (to me) doesn't really make it an interesting coaster, the drop is meh and the rest of the coaster after the MCBR is just junk IMO.

I think Anaconda would greatly benefit from new restraint padding. The restraints are currently rock-hard, so some squishier foam padding around the restraints could greatly reduce pain from headbanging on the ride.

I'd also like to see some work on the aesthetic side. I think the coaster's visual appeal could be strengthened by sprucing up Lake Charles. Removing the many cattails that grow around the "lake"'s edges, and cutting down the weedy, overgrown trees that block visuals of the lake could really open up and beautify the currently swampy body of water. I'd also like to see a fountain in the middle of the lake, which would not only draw visual attention, but would keep the water less stagnant and hopefully prevent some insects from breeding.

It may not be the best coaster ride, but Anaconda is nice-looking. I'd love to see the coaster's beauty given a little more prominence, at least until its time is up.

what i find interesting is that anaconda has a belt, do a lot of arrow coasters have belts? I know LNM doesnt?

This happened after Cedar Fair acquired the parks from Paramount. They added belts to all Arrow loopers.

Hm, I wonder if height has anything to do with it? I'm 6'4".

I'll let you know on Monday. I'm 6'1 and it will be my first ride on it. I'm hoping to get to all of the coasters Friday and Saturday.

I'm genuinely curious how it rides for you because I absolutely hate this ride. These 90s Arrows, every one I've been on, leave me with a pain in my back that lasts for days. No hyperbole. Days. When I go to KD these days and friends ride Anaconda, I wait for them at the exit.

I have to say, the two times I went to KD in recent years, i rode anaconda, and though there was a little headbanging, It was definitely tolerable for me, I had worse rides on Mean Streak( which actually broke my glasses when i rode it) and grizzly.
At the time I rode anaconda I was about 5'11".
