Was this show made by BGW or is this a show made by an outside company? I’d like to know if corporate came up with the idea or if it was pitched by the park. Seems relatively high budget which is the very reason I want to know why fuck this is where the entertainment budget went…

They could have spent the same amount of money for something very similar yet different and THEMED to any of the many countries represented in the park.

The show is alright and talent is solid. Would be really great at any other park. But at BGW, this doesn’t belong. What a poor job by whomever green lit this. BGW is so disconnected from its fans. What a shame.
Matt Davenport Productions. They did Britmania (good) and Phantoms of the Festhaus (awful). So not everything they do is golden but done is.

I think Up on the Haustop is their work also. They produced a great show at Hershey several years ago called Livewire

This show is great. It’s Davenport produced and on the level of Britmania (which they also did) and has the same formula.

It flows well with great choreography. The disco segment is the best IMO.

The production and lighting is excellent for a theme park show.

There are 8 vocalists (which is excessive) and 6 dedicated dances. At least what I saw.

The talent is great and some are outstanding. Several are from Up on the Haustop. The vocalist that channels Donna Summer is vocal perfection (she sang underneath the Tree in Up on the Haustop the last 2 years).

The choreographer did miss the mark though for the chorus of Sweet Child of Mine.

I’m so happy something of this quality is in the Globe again instead of the circus acts. The crowd appears to love this performance. It’s a shame all this effort is for a short run.

Guns 'n' Roses? In my historic-Europe theme park? 🙄

Here's some pictures of the show from Saturday. Tried to include one of every costume change.

Here's a full video of this very good show during the 2024 season. Yeah, thematically it makes no sense to put it in the Globe but with that said, historically there were countless live shows during the Globe's run as a live venue (before it's brief conversion into a 4-D theater) that did not match its English theme at all. So, I'm not surprised anymore that this show is running at the Globe right now and it seems audiences are into it so it's clearly doing something right.

Honestly I brought my parents to see this—since they grew up with the original and they really liked it, despite it not being the original version from many moons ago. Every time I’ve seen this show Its always gotten a good crowd, so it definitely drawing in people.

During the special lookback presentation, President Kevin has confirmed that American Jukebox: Summer Remix is returning to the Globe in June. Honestly the show has very much grown on me and I'm looking forward to seeing it again this year.

Strong disagree, Celtic Fyre to me it doesn't feel "worn out" and the reason why it's still playing is because the general public loves it and comes back to it time and time again. It's the one show that has not dipped in quality during its 14-year run (2020 was cancelled for obvious reasons) and honestly, it's a show to behold in its own way. It's become a classic show to the eyes of many and I couldn't be happier about it.

Now don't get me wrong, American Jukebox: Summer Edition is a really, really good show where it seems the people behind it cared about its quality and performers. Though I will admit that it's American-ness doesn't fit the Globe at all that it becomes kind of hilarious, but one could say that historically the Globe has had numerous live shows during the A-B era that didn't match the Elizabethan era hamlet either so maybe that's why the park thought they could get away with it. Audiences clearly highly enjoyed it from the shows I saw last year so the Entertainment department clearly did something right two years ago. It's not for everyone and I can understand that from an immersion point of view, it comedically fails, but I don't think it's entirely fair to dump on other shows that they are obviously going for different ideas and concepts that aren't "polished" or worse yet, "expensive and big" conceit. But hey, that's my two cents on the whole thing.

According to the website, "American Jukebox: Summer Remix" will begin performances on June 13th; 11:30 AM, 1:30, 3:30, and 6:00 PM are the confirmed showtimes. Funny enough, this show is now on its third season which is the same number of seasons that "London Rocks" played.

This is already up and running They had four performances on Sunday June 22 and they have four today on Monday. I am told it is off on Tuesday and Wednesday.

It’s definitely a high-quality show and currently my favorite in the park. It’s a shame it doesn’t run longer given all the work that goes into it.

I did not see it last year, but there are changes since 23 in the last two portions of the show. The changes in the 2000s part of the show are notable with some fantastic choreography.

I saw it Saturday and it's as good as ever with a very solid cast this year. There has been a couple of changes that I noticed with some new, punched up projections, an actual pre-show curtain, and a slightly revised narration at the beginning. Now, "American Jukebox: Summer Remix" is currently on its third season which the same number of seasons that "London Rocks" ran, the question on my mind is this: will this show run longer than LR with more seasons under its belt, or will it have its final season this year and be replaced by a new summer show for the Globe?

You know thinking about it, I have just one real complaint on what is a pretty solid show. That the fact that in the 1990s segment which has an empahsis on country music, the main show lead mentions Garth Brooks and one of the male signers is even dressed in his show attire from many concerts he did in that era and yet there is not one Garth Brooks song that makes a single appeareance being sung by the cast in the whole show. Literally what is the point of even referecing the man if your not going to show of his work?

the show’s first season used “Ain’t Goin’ Down (Til the Sun Comes Up)” which was…a choice. I don’t know why they still haven’t changed the 90s country intro bit to reflect the fact Garth isn’t used anymore
