In regards to the footer from what I understand is the park is trying to put a bandaid on Alpengeist to prevent further damage. The park has been continually fiddling with the MCBR to change the speed, nothing drastic, but it’s become noticeable that it has been a bit harder. On the Coaster Insider Tour I even saw some maintenance people looking at the MCBR, it could’ve been just regular maintenance I found it interesting nonetheless.

It wouldn’t surprise me one bit if slowing down the MCBR to help prevent wear and tear on the footers is a makeshift fix for the time being.

Don;t think we know numbers but I am sure they know how mch they can take off, I doubt they would even come close to a mistake as dumb as that.

The coaster should be able to come to a full and complete stop at the MCBR in case of emergency and still complete the full circuit from a dead stop from that point on. The MCBR is a full block section.

Back in 2001, I watched an empty train from the bridge, that was dead stopped on the MCBR, release and make it back to the station. Apparently there were technical issues with the ride and an hour beforehand the train was evacuated from that block before I got to that area. The ride was down all day but was reopened a couple days later when I went back.

I just came across this really amazing POV done in NoLimits 2. The detail is unparalleled. This almost looks real. My only complaint is the loss of speed at the end right before the final break run. Alpie whips through those turns a lot faster in real life. Other than that it looks fantastic. Excited to see the rest of this NL2 rendering of the park!

My understanding is that B&M's vest style restraints are actually slightly wider trains and the ride envelope wouldn't accommodate them. It would be lovely if the existing trains could be retrofitted with them, but I don't know that that is something the B&M would be open to doing.

They should put the Vest restraints on it, so it gets rid of the head banging.
Ever since Banshee in 2014 and with the more recent Dive Machines from B&M people have asked for this, but sadly it's not possible. The current track gauge is smaller than that of the more modern B&M coasters that sport vest restraints.

EDIT: Whoops, didn't see that post.

they regularly disassemble the trains as part of regular maintenance.
They said they’ll be back to doing 3 train ops next year. They chose to dismantle train 3 at the time, and I just don’t get why they can’t do it during the off season, and heck even during Christmas town since it isn’t open during CT anyways.

you must not realize how many rides get dismantled during that time period, any bit of extra maintenance they can do during the rest of the year is much more preferrable

Ok, so I found out that Alpengeist is much better in the front row, middle seats than anywhere else.
Anyone have any explanation as to why this is?
