The problem is that "getting some TLC" could mean almost anything.

We stopped by Alpie today, and it was a ghost town. So, maybe it means that Alpie needed some me time.
When I was there a staff member told another guest that they were hoping to have it up tomorrow. No idea if he was basing that on any hard facts or just saying it to make the guy happy.

I hate she is having issues because she's my favorite invert however it doesn't surprise me. One of the trains felt like it was going to literally shake apart when we were there last month. One train fine and the other was absolutely horrific. Not sure what's going on though or if it's related but the last few times we've ridden her she's been loud and seemingly showing her age.

When Alpie was closed last week, I’m pretty sure it was due to a broken footer. Correct me if I’m wrong on that statement. This closing came out of nowhere and I can’t imagine was the case could be now.

I'm personally shocked that something like a broker footer could be fixed that quickly

That was my reaction too...

But according to well-placed people I've talked to, Alpie's closure was, in fact, due to a cracked footer. Reportedly they poured new concrete over top of the footer in question to reenforce it—more of a bandaid than an actual fix.

By far the most haunting aspect of this story though is this: There are whispers that this saga isn't over—that this might be a larger issue.

Well that’s extremely saddening. Favorite ride in the park having possible large amounts of downtime.

It kinda is disturbing to me that all they did to "fix"the footer was pour new concrete over top of it, when that really does little to nothing. Concrete only has it's strength when it is all laid and bonded together, patchwork with it doesn't do nearly anything. I'm kinda glad they closed it back down because whichever genius thought to do that as patchwork is just trying to save money and reopen the attraction instead of actually fix it.
