Now, this is all completely word of mouth. But somebody mentioned this to me the other day, that Phantom Spire was only Phase I of a plan to install 3 major coasters here over the next 5-10 years.

I’ve heard rumors of a Great American Scream Machine tributed Vekoma Tilt & a B&M Giga Coaster being the other two.

This is all word of mouth at this point, but I would be absolutely thrilled if they went in this direction.

I'm just so tired of the Gimmickbahns 😞 Would much rather see a Big Bear Mountain type ride from Vekoma at Great Adventure as opposed to a tilt anyways

Those aren't rumors. That's just fantasizing over popular asks by others online and watching nolimits concepts on YouTube.
Fair enough…..Still wouldn’t surprise me if they went this direction. I know SF Corporate has this as a priority park for investments for the near future.

I think it’s entirely possible they end up with both in a certain time span.

Cause I don’t think Medusa is going to last here for much longer.

I agree on preferring a family multi-launch, since I think the park needs a better medium-thrill lineup, but I’m going to once again defend the Vekoma tilt coaster. The tilt itself is actually an excellent element, not just a gimmick, and I’m certain we could get a layout with a MCBR or a longer final brake run to allow for more trains.

Here are my ideas on future GA coasters after Spire.
1. Verkoma multi launch family big thunder mountain style coaster in former KA location part of a revamped Golden Kingdom.
2. Family GCI wooden coaster in former concert hall in frontier adventures.
3. BMM Giga coaster in rolling thunders location and behind Eltoro and that new wooden coaster in frontier adventures
5. Intimin Multi launch with 200 ft top hat with turns inversions behind showcase theater, stunt theater, woman in metropolis section of park.

I'll agree to disagree. I was whelmed by Siren's Curse, especially for the wait times I had to endure. It's fun to watch in a way that makes me miss the S&S Sky Swat, but the tilt, in my opinion, is a gimmick for the spectators with a built-in excuse to have middling capacity. If you're "certain" Great Adventure could get a higher-throughput version long enough for an MCBR then you must be privy to some information I am not.

I think most of us would only advocate for a Vekoma Tilt if it were a fully custom, capacity-focused design @northdetective. Siren's Curse is a bad comp since it was bought second-hand and shoved in a park last minute. I don't think any of us would be advocating for that scenario to repeat a few years down the line at SFGAdv.

It feels like I'm frequently told to temper my expectations because of whatever extenuating circumstances make building something custom or capacious impractical so this seems like too much to ask for at this point (or in any near-term future)

I dont think it would be out of the question for them to add all these coasters in cause I know SF Corporate has big plans for Great Adventure. Probably bigger plans than any park in their portfolio, at least from what I was told.

Magic Mountain, Great America, Great Adventure & occasionally the Texas parks will get the most attention from corporate in terms of legacy Six Flags parks

A tilt is one of my biggest hopes for the park but it absolutely needs to be done right. I would also be perfectly content with an Iron Rattler clone if enough theming/landscaping is done to not make it feel like a clone, but obviously custom would be preferable (still 100% want it to be a hyper, though).

A Tilt, A Giga, and a Family coaster would be the perfect next three additions to the park IMO

Did you ride Siren's Curse in the front? The visual of the tilt and the dropping-feeling when it first starts is worth it alone.

I did not. I sat somewhere the middle of the train right by where it pivots once (weird sensation because you don't move much) and then my other two rides were back row.
Yeah I can get being just whelmed by the ride then. I wasn't too impressed with the bulk of the layout, but thought it was a good intermediate-inverting coaster, and a great "starter, first-time-going-on-something-that-goes-upside-down" coaster to add to the park - much less intense than Raptor or Valravn, and not as headache-inducing as Corkscrew. The front just adds that extra bit of fun, and the back is another good experience. You should give it a try at either end of the train the next time you're at Cedar Point. It was the new hotness last year, so the lines were to be expected, but I would expect much more reasonable waits this year, especially on weekdays.

I think it would be a good fit at SFGAdv even as is (as much as everyone hates "clones,") because it's a great middle-ground coaster - slightly more to it than a dedicated family coaster, but also not full of intense moments like Jersey Devil or Batman. I guess Medusa sort of fits this role? I dunno how rough it's gotten; I haven't ridden it in years.

Feel like there's a good chance we could get both. I will say I think the tilt is FAR more likely because the family coaster market is oversaturated right now but with the current status of the Vekoma-Six Flags relationship I wouldn't be surprised at all if those two rides follow up Phantom Spire.

Sirens curse is great…. But I’d much prefer something closer to Iron Rattler at Six Flags Qiddiya City.

I haven’t ridden both but I hear from those that have that the latter is better in every way
