Yeah I can get being just whelmed by the ride then. I wasn't too impressed with the bulk of the layout, but thought it was a good intermediate-inverting coaster, and a great "starter, first-time-going-on-something-that-goes-upside-down" coaster to add to the park - much less intense than Raptor or Valravn, and not as headache-inducing as Corkscrew. The front just adds that extra bit of fun, and the back is another good experience. You should give it a try at either end of the train the next time you're at Cedar Point. It was the new hotness last year, so the lines were to be expected, but I would expect much more reasonable waits this year, especially on weekdays.

I think it would be a good fit at SFGAdv even as is (as much as everyone hates "clones,") because it's a great middle-ground coaster - slightly more to it than a dedicated family coaster, but also not full of intense moments like Jersey Devil or Batman. I guess Medusa sort of fits this role? I dunno how rough it's gotten; I haven't ridden it in years.
Medusa is my go-to along with Batman and Nitro every time I visit. When lines allow, even last year with the new ride policy they let me go 4-5 times in a row. It's a little rattly nowadays but nothing uncomfortable. Just such a smooth, solid ride with fun G's to me. I'd really hate to lose it unless what they replace it with is similarly awesome.

I think Medusa will probably have a few more seasons. I think overall that’s probably one of the lowest foot traffic parts of the park but they’re making some nice quality of life changes over there with adding the smoker to Best of the West and repainting the Log Flume (🤞🏻 it stays open this year without issues).

A Vekoma tilt would be so awesome there eventually, overlooking the safari, but I’d imagine they’d want something like that towards the front of the park for the eye catching quality it has

Having the tilt on the go kart location facing the front entrance would be a great visual, maybe could even have a stall (or the double roll like iron rattler) go over the front entrance into the picnic / group area

Ideally no coasters would be removed to make way for any more in the near future. GADV has a ton of land inside and outside of the park to use. If they put something in place of the old arena, that would draw crowds back to medusa just by the proximity effect along with bringing traffic back to that entire area.

I Like all the ideas here but I would kill for a AlpenFury style coaster over a tilt or giga any day. After a big bear mountain style family coaster that is, because I agree that would be a fantastic addition.

I just would love for once, like some others parks, to have a coaster go over our miles of footpaths. Not asking too much. There's so much land and things so spread out, no reason every ride has to be set back and contained away from where you're walking. Can't remember who suggested a few weeks ago about having track from a ride go over the front entrance. Base a coaster on the old Shockwave plot and snake it over the path to the gate or over the boardwalk stands and back. Take it beyond the fence for once.

I don't think it's in acute danger. Somehow Rougarou is still around. In my mind it holds significance as the first floorless so I revere it similarly to how I do Kumba, but we know Six Flags is not in the business of preserving history. I do just think it holds up pretty well as a ride experience for its age.

That would be very sensible. Don't touch Houdini, but Shockwave's old plot was literally three now-defunct attractions (Right Stuff, the go karts, and the sky flyer) and would be the perfect grounds for another coaster's starting point with crossovers over the entrance. It doesn't need to do too much on the "east" side of the entrance, but something like Gatekeeper at Cedar point would be stellar.

Even better if they remove Superman and extend the layout into that plot, but that's likely a pipe dream of someone who isn't a big fan of flying coasters.

Please god let this change soon, a Volare is more enjoyable than this pile of shit.

It really just feels too perfect for a white GCI that pays homage to boardwalk woodies, even if there’s no entrance interaction.

You know what's a white woodie that would fit perfect in that spot if they routed it into the old Kingda Ka tract that is the perfect vintage to accurately represent the boardwalk wooden coasters...? And it even already exists, they've just gotta do a little deconstruction and have it take a four hour road trip. 😁

And Amen on Rougarou. It is the only adult coaster I routinely skip on CP trips.

Wild One coming to Great Adventure is likely the biggest pipe dream I’ve ever had for a park. A traditional woodie is probably the most glaring hole in the lineup (and prior to this retrack project, a woodie that doesn’t ride like shit).
I think it’d be cool to have such a historic coaster come to the park, and like you said one that fills a huge hole in the lineup.

Toro shouldn’t be the only wooden coaster in the park. In general there’s not a lot of stepping stones that allow kids to go from the family coasters to the big coasters + coasters with inversions. It’s been a problem for over a decade and it honestly might’ve played a role in the decline in attendance

I wonder if rmc can build a ground up wooden coaster with iron track in the boardwalk area in the future (thinking in the in the vein of golitah at great america)

I love El Toro to death but I do find it somewhat regrettable that its intensity pretty much precludes the addition of an RMC I-Box or hybrid. Wild Moose would be great if anyone else ever builds the prototype first but I highly doubt SF would

I think northdetective means that El Toro is a pretty intense experience, which is already reminiscent of an RMC Ibox, so adding one now would feel somewhat redundant.

I think if Rolling Thunder was able to be converted it would’ve been a worthwhile addition, but since they’d be building from the ground up I’d rather see a different investment.

My idea for a rolling thunder revival wouldn't even be in the ride's original location. I honestly think a rolling thunder tribute would be best over by the lone star theater/Medusa (if that is on the chopping block). Plaza de Carnival was originally park of the western area of the park and Rolling Thunder kinda just adapted to the new theme. That being said, I think having the only two woodies in the park right on top of each other would be kinda awkward. Would rather have a dueling GCI (more family friendly without being a real family coaster kinda like Texas Stingray) be the centerpiece of a newly renovated western area. Move Rolling Thunder back where it belongs, fill in the empty area of the Western Section, and fill in a big gap in the parks lineup.

I hope that area of the park is addressed next. If the park is going to ever go all in on a coaster investment again in the future, that’s probably where they should put it. Medusa isn’t bad, but it can’t be the only draw to that area outside of the mine train and restaurant.

Probably not 100% accurate with where the Boardwalk rides are going but here's a concept for a GCI coaster that repalces the Sky Coaster, Sim building, Go-Karts, and the Superman tent. I picture this as having a big truss element over the Superman entrance, kinda like Ravine Flyer 2 but less grand:

I think with the placement of the lift hill/drop you’d need to pull a Carowinds entrance for Superman and have a tunnel under and a truss over, which would honestly be pretty cool.
