I hope it's more than a few years...
In my opinion, removing another classic in favor of something new in the next few years would be a terrible mistake. We're already due for a new coaster since Griffon. Instead of adding something new in 2010 or 2011, they removed the Wolf in 2009. This basically put them into "coaster debt". In 2012 they're "replacing" the Wolf but at the end of the day, we're still due for another big coaster. Nessie isn't ready to die yet. I know this has been brought up before, but what about replacing Nessie's trains in 2013 with some of those fancy Vekoma trains that they're putting on all the boomerangs now? Aren't the Vekoma trains backwards compatible with the old Arrow coasters?

I thought I heard that BGW doesn't do business with Vekoma because their products don't meet up with their (BGW's) standards of quality.
After seeing the Wolf go, I realized that no status levels or sentimental values have any chances of saving old coasters, coasters get old and they will be destroyed, no one wants to spend the money to fix them, they'd rather replace it with money making gimmicks.

Well Loch Ness is not falling apart as BBW was. The biggest maintenance issues are the wheels I think.

When/if BGW ever MUST replace Nessie, could they have another company (Vekoma) make a ride with basically the EXACT same layout (interlocking loops and all) as LNM? That would make me

Assuring you that the coaster that generations have loved is being rebuilt. Believe me, I'd rather have them replace the Wolf with the Wolf than this crazy car themed dark ride they're building... but that's just me.

A few things I must rant about If ya'll don't mind...
I really hope that everyone who has doubts in LNM's future to quail them. The park holds that coaster in such high regard I doubt the would ever consider removing it unless totally necessary. They keep the track well maintained, well painted and it still has great ridership. Every time I go to ride the coaster It easily has a 25 min line. I plan on riding this coaster with my children as their first "big" coaster like how my mom rode with me many years ago. LNM is a piece of history, already. It's the most photographed coaster in the world, and easily probably the most recognizable for that reason. Arrow coaster are quickly becoming a dying breed. Give it another 15 years, 70 to 80% of today's operating Arrow coasters will be gone. I want this coaster to be preserved and never removed. it would be a big mistake in my opinion.
Also, I highly doubt new Vekoma trains would be coming anytime soon. the park currently owns 6 Arrow trains, the four original trains, and the two from Python. Parts are cheap to come by. The track would be my only concern, but I don't think the coaster really pushes the coasters limit. There may come a year when the decision is made to have some track replaced like on Phantom's Revenge. I pray that if a track replacement comes, that it doesn't fail like Python's did.
And finally, I hold a firm belief that next years coaster can be seen as the BIG coaster for the next 6 years. I have hopes that the 2013 Festhaus Park expasion has something to do with a new larger amphitheater, and that by opening would make the Royal Palace Theater obsolete. I would like to see BG use the land area for multi use. I can see a spinning coaster like Tony Hawk flying over and thru french rooftops. BGW, if you want a good idea, give me a holler and I'll give you a few

True there are so many generic Arrow loopers out there for parts and such the park wont be getting rid of LNM anytime soon... BUT...
There is absolutely no reason they should be adding two kiddie coasters in a row. I doubt "Verbomentum" is gonna be able to hold the above 13 audience very well, even with it's 3 launches and dropping track. We all have seen the layout, and quite frankly it looks like the most tame thing I have seen in the past 5 years being billed as "The next big ride". Only thing it appears to have going for it is the drop over the rhine and the dropping track. I simply dont see this being anywhere near as effective as Cheetah Hunt in being a ride enjoyable for all audiences.

I feel this is going to be a kiddie coaster on steroids, It will basically be Grover but larger and launching... it will definitely not bring the same thrill and fandom that the Wolf had.

Give it a chance fans. I think the plans for the new coaster look cool. I do hope its better than cheetah hunt, rode it a few weeks ago. I liked it, just a little disappointed.

I hope to God that the park NEVER builds a B&M Flyer. Those coasters are gimmicky with boring and uninspired layouts. I've ridden Manta, Tatsu, two of the Six Flags Superman Flyers and Air at Alton Towers and none of them were exciting. And the Pretzel Loops suck on the ones that have them!
SeaWorld Entertainment has bought only one for their flagship park. Let's hope it's the last as well!
