I have that sound memorized in my skull. So iconic. I can still remember the pre-recorded message whistle in my ears, "Now enjoy traveling at the speed of fright" Awww memories.

Looking at the concept art for the height check sign, the height requirement for Verbomentum will be either 42" with an adult and 48" to ride alone, or 54" based on the ride warning sign. Red represents can't ride, yellow represents with an adult, and green being ride alone. The art is on Page 1. Don't really think it'll be 54".

RE: 2012 Coaster

Pics of the station and the dirt pit are coming from me tomorrow. I found a nice area to get some in-close pics of what is going on for "Verbolten."

^ I wish they would release that recording to the pubic!

So they are building a german train station and a new concert house thing back there? The train already stops to frequently I will hate this.

After what happened to Mach Tower, I think the Wolf's land is cursed. I'm not expecting the 2012 coaster to be opening on it's expected date.

This is a totally rational view that is in no way indicative of your bitterness over a 2-year-old ride removal. If you believe the land is cursed, I recommend you stay at a safe distance from that corner of Oktoberfest. Wouldn't want the soul of an inanimate object to take out its revenge on you.

Expect the project to open in May. I keep seeing "end of March," "opening day," and on-and-on, but Busch scheduling openings all of their recent attractions in the month of May, when park operation is shifting into 4th gear, is sensible.

Unrelated speculation in regards to Project 2012, methinks.

Payne Train makes some valid points here people.

Let's stay on topic hear and try to keep this thread at a mature level.

SO back to topic. I walked through the park today. Judging by why I was able to see it looks like about 40% of the footers for the building are complete aside from the slab section that will go over them in the coming weeks. Also like Scoutn said, that new wall blocks off all the gardens that were in front of the old station. Otherwise that's about all that is going on.

RE: 2012 Coaster

This is amazing info, excellent find Zoomy!

That is a seriously detailed schedule to follow, seems to be relatively on track if you examine some of those dates. An April opening sounds good!

I haven't been to the park all year sadly, I may just wait till Spring 2012 to experience MT and Verbolten all at once, since MT's opening will likely come after "V-bolt." :p

RE: 2012 Coaster

A soft opening is like the media day and some seasoon pass holder ERT. It's usually less than a week before the official opening.

RE: 2012 Coaster

Wait the delivery of event building track is next month, we dont even have an event building yet?

RE: 2012 Coaster

Who says they'll have the building up and then put the track inside? A lot of the indoor coasters are put together at the same time the building is going up. Now the special effects will be interesting to be seen being built and put together.

The track goes in before the building. How are you going to crane in things through a roof?
