I don't see how fire would fit in anyways. Maybe some sort of lightning strike, but that can be done with strobes and rain noise in the building.

GUYS! Remember when I was all like, "Oh Verbolten works so well because remember that light box at the end of the drop section!? I bet lightening is going to cause the drop!"

But no one listened....

I was the kid who laughed at people's reactions to lightning. It never really bothers me until it strikes like 10 feet from me.

I don't think anyone saw my mentioning of a possible media release coming on Aug. 22nd. I'm not entirely sure if it's 100% true but mark your calendars anyways.

You never rode Tower of Terror as a child then.

Lightning and a drop is all too vague IMO to try and link the two. The entire inside could be the forest in a thunderstorm. Not enough details for me to manifest assumptions

I saw that, but i figured you were just making stuff up. :p Seriously though, you heard this from someone? No one has mentioned anything, at least up here. Regardless, if they're going to release a teaser or anything on Aug. 22nd, I imagine that will at least mean Mach Tower is open.

Some of yall might want to see one of the signs i found from the desginers that put up the teaser artwork on the green fences at ground zero somthing tells me that this wont be put up untill the announcment!

I will be off line for this afternoon i will leave you with the offical logo for VERBOLTEN!!! ****Spoiler I also heard there will be a teaser video put before the end of next week***** Thank gosh Mach Tower is open! They can start to promote this ride!

I think that's supposed to be the L in the middle of the circle.

I doubt it. If they had included the "l" in the logo, it would've looked more balanced with 4 letters on either side of the sign being used as the "o". I'm thinking the "l" is gone.

there r 2 versions of this sign theres one with an L after the no speed limet sign but this was put in their portfolio back in january so mabey busch wanted to call it verboten at 1 time i will post the other version l8tr! Who likes the logo desgin?

Here's the thing, we all know Verbolten is a play on words. There's no reason for them to put a straight line through the "O". If it was just tire tracks they probably would have made them swerved like the teaser art is. Also, why post a teaser image of a lighting bolt on the fence? Why make the O so big? The play on words is built into this design. All the letters are lowercase, just like the lowercase L in the circle.

OHHHH I GET IT THE O IS FT. AS NO SPEED LIMIT SIGN USING THAT THAT THEY CAN USE THE LINES IN THE MIDDLE AS THE L AND ADD EMPHSIS ON SPEED ON, THE WORD MEANS THE "FORBBIDEN BOLT!" AKA THE FORBBIDEN SPEED! I NOW KNOW WHAT BG IS GOING WITH ON THE THEME WE SHOULD BE HEARING FROM GRETTA SOON! :)

Actually there's a very good reason for them to put straight lines through the "O". Why? Well I looked up German road signs and that large "O" is actually a sign meaning "End of all restrictions". This basically means that whatever restrictions (speed, size, etc) were in place before this sign are no longer in effect. I'm guessing in this case that means speed.

Here's a list of German road signs. The one in the logo is about 3/4th of the way down the page.
