RE: 2012 Coaster (Name To Be Discovered)

The straight piece of track before and inside the tunnel is a launch. The building plans show where the indoor launches are located. I'm almost positive that I posted them somewhere in this thread...

Also, if you look at the topographical maps, you can see that where they're building the track before the building is all going downhill until you get to the hill in front of the building- where the "confirmed" (via plans) first launch is.

Um. Hi Tekalion. Because I'm awesome? .....

Dffan, I most certainly will but am too tired to make a compelling argument tonight. Tomorrow. Promise.

Hey guys, new poster here so I will keep it short and sweet, here is some construction pr0n for you....

Sorry they suck so bad but I only had my Blackberry whilst waiting for the bumper cars to finish....

I can say they were NOT messing around, it was busy and LOUD over there for the whole day.

Welcome to the forums, Cerebral.

Your photos are pretty good.
They're definitely moving a lot earth over there. It's going to be quite a shock seeing the area so different once the construction is finished.

RE: 2012 Coaster (Name To Be Discovered)

Welcome aboard Cerebral! Great pictures. I wish they where getting this much work done on Mach Tower.

RE: 2012 Coaster (Name To Be Discovered)

pushing around dirt is much easier to do over in fhp(ie there is much dirt to move)....mach tower is dead in the water till the part comes....besides the cutting they are doing halfway up the pole...there isnt much they can do...

RE: 2012 Coaster (Name To Be Discovered)

Those photos are fantastic! Welcome to the forums.

That's some decently deep digging they were doing, they are moving along nicely with this project!

Mach Tower news is underwhelming in light of this coaster's progress, my excitement wanes the longer its idle and the more this ride materializes...

Any coincidence that my Big Bag Wolf acrylic key chain broke last week as they started construction? haha

Lady parts scare me....Maybe if you supply me with copious amounts of alcohol I can manage....if I close my eyes....

And yes! Good pics! Welcome to the forum!

RE: 2012 Coaster (Name To Be Discovered)

One thing interesting to note, you can see all the old BBW exposed footers now that have been dug out , BUT ... to me it looks like the footers at the lowest part were moved there and maybe reused, some have stayed right where they are but now there are footers down at the level of the flat grade they have made, looking at the old pics they would have been under 20 feet of dirt, the small water ravine was no where near that deep I'm pretty sure....

RE: 2012 Coaster (Name To Be Discovered)

My guess is some of those footers will require more than a bull dozer to remove so thats why some are still there. Anyway those pictures really put into perspective how deep and massive that ravine is when you compare it to the guy standing in the middle of it.

RE: 2012 Coaster (Name To Be Discovered)

I made a point to buy one and a T-shirt before BBW closed that year, I knew all the merchandise would be gone :-(

Any guesses on how "Verboltenbahn's" T shirts will turn out?":D

I'm not much of an amusement park souvenir guy but if I knew the Wolf was going away the last time I was at BGW (April '09) I would have at least bought a T-shirt, and maybe a magnet... and a keychain... and a plush wolf... and a commemorative drinking glass... Aw the heck with it, I would have bought out all of "Wolf Gifts" until my credit card maxed out!

I should search around the Internet and see if I can find some old Wolf merch.

Anyways, about the 2012 coaster's merch: I have no ideal how they will turn out. They will probably come up with some neat designs to incorporate with the theming. I still wonder if this coaster will have a mascot like all of the others. (If it does it better not be something stupid!)

RE: 2012 Coaster (Name To Be Discovered)

that is some serious dirt moving...theyve dug down at least 20-30 ft...so if we say thats grade...were looking at top of building being no bigger than that of darkastle...and i wonder what kind of wierd airtime feeling that reverse outside incline will create...interesting to say the least..
