That's ridiculous, Fit it with three big trains not five small trains!

That's easier said than done.

You need to take into consideration of the the size and weight of a larger train and the ability to launch them at proper velocity. And the launch sections are probably designed to handle smaller trains at once.

Plus, if they run 5 trains at maximum capacity they'll be able to have many riders on it. I read on other message boards that BGT was sending out Cheetah Hunt trains every 40 seconds using the dual loading station. Those trains hold 16 passengers each and with that launch interval that gives the coaster 1440 riders per hour.

The Big Bad Wolf had three trains, seven cars per train, and four passengers per car. This was standard for most coasters built by Arrow. At full capacity that would be 84 riders. If the new coaster is five 16 person trains that capacity is dropped from 84 to 80 (not a significant drop at all but still a drop).

Looking at this again I'm now starting to worry that this coaster will have the track layout and the elements of a legit decent sized coaster but will have the stylings of a kiddie coaster. (Zierer specializes in them.) So I worry that this thing will have a cartoony-style track with pencil-thin rails and small supports with "cute" little automobile shaped trains.

And I find the more trains there are on the ride, the more times the operators have to usher riders in and out, prep the train, and send it off. And considering this is a launching coaster, rides will probably be quick and operators will probably be coordinating station stops every thirty seconds to a minute. (Kinda seems like a lot of pressure and stress put on the workers.)

And this brings up another issue: How long is this ride going to be? The Wolf wasn't that long to begin with and it had two chain driven lift hills, this ride has multiple launches and follows a similar layout to the Wolf (according to leaked plans). I really hope this ride won't be too short.

...

Alright I just went off on a tangent there for a bit but I'm just having many thought about this ride at once... this is a very stress full time to be a BGW fan right now. :-/

The Big Bad Wolf also had sh*tty capacity because it was always breaking down. Had it been problem-free the ride could produce a max capacity of 1300 riders per hour. It never reached that on a consistent basis.

This new coaster running 5 trains should be an improvement, especially with a dual-loading station and lapbar only trains.

UPDATE: JULY 29

Man Looks like a disaster zone! I think the extreme downpours we had the last few days really tore the place up! The footer in the middle of the construction zone looks like it washed out and fell over, in the other pic you can see where I thought they had dug the grade out but then when I saw it closer it looks like a lot of the grade washed out. They were there working all day fixing the place up but I think they lost a bit of time ...

Unfortunately the dirt pics are really not that interesting but the real bummer for me is the last pic, this is the BBW drop and footers leading into the water from the walking bridge, you can see just how much of the "drop" is GONE, I mean the BBW actually took you up the second, (and my most un-favorite part of the BBW) chain lift drop quite a ways too, if this launches out the building its not really a drop at all ...

RE: 2012 Coaster (Name To Be Discovered)

Great pictures Cerebral! Isn't all of that land-clearing in the last picture new? I don't remember seeing any of that empty when I was there on Sunday...

Also, to quote my Twitter:
You ain't seen nothing yet. #BGW2012 #CrypticTweet
If everything works out, Chris and I should have some new pictures for you all to look over sometime soon.
No promises, but "some" could equal a ton if everything goes right.

RE: 2012 Coaster (Name To Be Discovered)

Well I was there about a week ago and it was defiantly not like that, the trees were still there and the they had not really connected the hill and the drop parts of the construction, now they might come up with something really cool, but from the looks of the plans we have now it does not seem to have much of a drop, still have my fingers crossed...

The MACH tower still sits without a Gondola or any work to speak of, 2012 I'm thinking, or after the peak of the season on this one, sucks for Busch Gardens, they seem to get the shaft on there rides...

And on a side rant, what the hell is with the Alpiengiest becoming the red headed step child in BGE, no shop, no ride pictures, only 1 stinkin T-Shirt that doesn't even have a PICTURE on the thing, the have 8 freaking Apollos shirts, Alpiengiest is still my favorite ride hands down...

Also, the BBW wasn't launched. Look at Cheetah Hunt.

Dont forget about the drop track either. Can't be too heavy.

Anything can be designed to be dealt with. 125 speakers and 24 subwoofers in one train what?

RE: 2012 Coaster (Name To Be Discovered)

Also this thing is supposed to have on-ride video. These trains are a lot more sophisticated than the old arrow trains.

RE: 2012 Coaster (Name To Be Discovered)

Guys this ride sounds awesome, if you look back at the ride drop drawing looks super great, Cant Wait!!

But i do see what your saying.

RE: 2012 Coaster (Name To Be Discovered)

It seems to be the trend to have more smaller trains than just 2 or 3 larger trains. Three of the newer coasters I've hit this summer; Rip Ride Rocket, Cheetah Hunt, and Daredevil all use this concept and had good capacity (when they were running). The line seems to be constantly moving. These are all Intamins too, don't know if it's just them.

RE: 2012 Coaster (Name To Be Discovered)

Yeah I'd rather wait in a longer line that's constantly moving than a shorter line that moves every five minutes

RE: 2012 Coaster (Name To Be Discovered)

Everything we've released (which is just a fraction of what we have) has been pretty low quality (as far as image quality, not content). I plan to change that. Get ready for full quality versions of everything you've seen and many things you have yet to see.

Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rocket is made by Maurer Söhne and Daredevil Dive @ SFoG is by Gerstlauer.

Real quick

On that new picture Swift just posted you can clearly see DF's building is there. So we an dismiss the rumor that it was getting knocked down.

RE: 2012 Coaster (Name To Be Discovered)

Looks like separate loading and unloading platforms? Or would that be: load two trains one behind the other? Also the ride does look like it will be quick. I'm glad they kept the same path the wolf took from the river drop on.

RE: 2012 Coaster (Name To Be Discovered)

Looks like the same type of loading as Cheetah Hunt, load two trains, one launches and one waits on the launch until the train clears than launch the next one.

RE: 2012 Coaster (Name To Be Discovered)

If you look closely, you can see silhouettes of the trains in the station. There's a train right outside the station, two loading, and two unloading.
