Adding 3 would actually bring them back up to a number that they have previously had in the current space so it wouldn't necessarily include an expansion. Are they expanding the existing habitat? TBH, wolves need a lot of space so...

They do have more space behind the seens I am not sure the size of it. There were 3 packs at one point.that is only the front habitat, I believe they have a second area. there are or were 2 packs
The area we see is a very small portion of their actual habitat. In reality they spend very little time there and instead cycle in and out all day. When the park is closed they are pretty much never in their.I always felt the existing space was small, and so would the fencing work be a replacement or expansion

They will not be in a pack with the current wolves. There was sn explanation a few years back when they got the last set of new one that there is sn extremely small window of time that a pack will adopt one and its dangerous to try to introduce them after that point which was why the park didn't do it then. I cann see no reason for them to chsnce it this time. Since they already had multiple separate packs that are now gone they should already have a place. To add to this, these being new and "outsider" wolves; they may or may not end up packing together with the existing two wolves and so it is highly likely that the marking has to do with some sort of segregation/quarantine area while they figure out how to best integrate the additional wolves with the existing pack.

One pack still remains and where out today. Sadly the others were significantly older and have all passed from age related which is why you see the habitat empty more frequently this year. The new packs should allow them to going back to rotating them in and out more and will mean there will almost always be some out there.Where is the current/old pack?

There were wolves training at the stage today! Apparently a new pack.
I see that picture in a whole new light now. @belsaas ’ photography still looks amazing, as always, but I’m afraid it’s much more hilarious than it is majestic now. ?Is it pooping?
